Hastings Furniture Service The furniture reuse & training charity for Hastings and Rother Don't dump it - donate it!

HFS is the local independent furniture & electrical reuse charity that has been fighting furniture poverty in Hastings & Rother since 1988. Our Vision - We believe every person should have a bed to sleep on, a cooker to prepare basic meals with and the essential furniture to create a comfortable, safe home. Our Mission – To help alleviate poverty by providing low cost quality re-used furniture and electrical goods to low-income households; creating opportunities to enable individuals to improve their lives; diverting waste from landfill and reducing CO2e emissions. Your unwanted furniture and electrical goods can help others in our community so call us to book a free collection visit on 01424 44 11 12.

Suzanne Bird, our Eco-Living volunteer I couldn’t be without. Each week she helps all she can to prepare stock for our fundraising store, but knows how much we need customers through our eco-living doors so we can support our essentials store and the community who rely on us in times of need and so took that support to the next level organising this article.
It’s lovely that the article also allows our team to explain in their own words why the charity is so important to them and why we do what we do.
Huge thanks to both and for their work on the article and for shining a light on our independent charity.
