Good evening. Please see the planning application in respect of the premises underneath Pelham Crescent. It is good that the premises will soon be occupied as opposed to empty . If you have any concerns about the lengthy opening times any noise issues or customers potentially using the roof as meeting venue or litter and rubbish then please make representations to the council.

Good evening - number 11 roof appears hazardous things falling off the roof, and tarpaulin swinging around eg a Chimney appears broken, leaning a precariously. I am reaching out to number 11 and making number 12 aware of this issue .

Car parking letter re removing cars by the end of the month.

I am aware that the car at the very top is not roadworthy but hopefully it can be moved. I know this may cause issues with deliveries or works eg scaffolding/ building works . The parking loading bay is always occupied .

Hastings Borough Council is going to permanently close Pelham Crescent to vehicles from Friday 31 October 2025.

The Council will be reinstating the two missing bollards at the entrance to Pelham Crescent at around 10am on the morning of Friday 31 October 2025. All parked vehicles will need to be removed from Pelham Crescent before 10am on Friday 31 October 2025.

Re St Mary event ….Sadly, it looks like the weather on Saturday is going to be strong winds and rain. We ideally wanted to be in front of the building so that footfall was best and easy to inspire people in front of the building. However, the weather is looking inclement for the entirety of the event.

Scaffolding. I am pleased to see that scaffolding has now been removed from the one side of the Crescent. There is now only scaffolding at number 13 and 11. It would be useful to know how long that scaffolding will remain in place. If anybody has any information about timescales, please could they let me know.

Hi all . To update you I was notified about the missing open roof to Pelham arcade. I was then able to engage with Cllr Horn and a representative from building control. You will notice that scaffolding has now gone up to provide some protection. If I have any news, I will update you.

The St Mary Church
open day on Saturday has now been postponed however there will be a table on the pavement outside explaining about the proposals for the church. Please come along to support between 12 pm and 4 pm on Saturday.
