Wow! What an amazing final day we had at the festival on Thursday. The morning session was filled with choirs from 10 local Primary Schools who had been working with Andy Nunn over the past few months on writing their own songs. They then performed them in front of a packed theatre, and all of them joined together at the end of the session in one final song. Almost 300 young voices lifted together...and I dont think there was a dry eye in the house. The afternoon session featured 2 Open Singing Championships and singing medals...a joyous celebration of classical singing.
And in the evening...well...15 stunning choirs took to the stage to entertain us with every possible type of choir music . The support from the audience was incredible. Hastings, you should be proud of yourself...what amazing singers we have. We are so grateful to our brilliant British & International Federation of Festivals adjudicator Ben Costello for his great guidance, support..and humour! Thank you Ben.

Our amazing dancing section was brought to a close on Wednesday morning with beautiful dances in the Contemporary, Greek, Global and Musical Theatre categories for 13 year olds. We are so grateful to our lovely adjudicator, Jacqueline Robyn Hadlow from British & International Federation of Festivals for her guidance, kindness and excellent adjudication. On Tuesday evening we held our Molly Townson Evening of Song, featuring classes that Molly loved. Funds raised from that session will go towards the Molly Townson Bursary. And what an evening it was! A packed hall, with the most marvellous performances from some of our younger singers in the English Song class, through to Gilbert & Sullivan, English Art Song, Vintage Songs and Humorous Songs. A superb evenings entertainment. Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported it. The results are:
