While this weather may feel like it does on holiday, we need to be keeping ourselves and loved ones safe.

Remain alert for signs of heat exhaustion or heatstroke, including dizziness, nausea, rapid heartbeat, confusion, or excessive sweating. Seek medical advice if symptoms occur.

Top tips to stay cool ❄
- Drink 1.5 to 2 litres of fluids daily, including water and foods with high water content such as melons, cucumbers, lettuce, and spinach. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and hot drinks as they can increase dehydration risk.
- Close curtains or blinds on sun-facing windows to block heat indoors. Open windows during cooler times (early morning or late evening).
- Take cool showers or baths. Apply cool water or a damp cloth to the back of the neck, wrists, or face.

PS The office team is stocked up on ice lollies!

Wow what a champ!
Our Volunteer Trevor set himself a huge challenge of walking 200 miles in June. Well, he has only gone and done it- with 11 days to spare and raised £350 for the Association of Carers along the way!
Well done to our Trev!

When did you first recognise yourself as an unpaid Carer? So many step into this role and may not know there is support there for them.

Our respite service gives a welcome break so the Carer can be, and look after, themselves 💙

‘Today I will try to be patient… and above all, I will try to be kind.’
This beautiful poem by Gillian, an unpaid Carer we support, glimpses into the reality of caring —the love, patience, exhaustion and kindness.

Let’s create communities that see and support Carers💙
