Wow, what a great training week we have had.
Kicked off with Dementia training with Kiki at Hastings Voluntary Action. It was great to see our incredible volunteers sharing their own experiences.
Then we had the pleasure of Elise Rawson: The Neuro Physio talking to 12 volunteers about Parkinson's at Parris Lawn Care Home.
We offer all of our volunteers support and training throughout the year to help them in their roles.

We are looking forward to welcoming Disc Dementia to our next Newhaven Carers Cafe next Tuesday (6th October) at Newhaven Enterprise Centre.

DISC will be covering all things finance when going into care, and answering Carers questions. Do come along and join us!

The Ripple is hosting an evening of music and comedy at the Lewes Con Club on Wednesday 14th October in support of the Association of Carers!
The evening is set to be an array of talent, and if last year's one is anything to go by will be enjoyed by all who attend!

We had a really positive review of our 2025-26 year at our AGM on Friday. Whilst it is a formality in the calendar of many organisations, we had the chance to get our team, members and supporters together to review our successes 🧡

21% of our Carers receive more than one service from us
25% of our Carers were less reliant on health and social care
4,519 respite visits were made
100% of our Volunteers felt appreciated by us

If there are any urgent matters please contact Adult Social Care East Sussex County Council which is 0345 60 80 191. This number is available from 8 AM to 8 PM, every day of the week, including bank holidays. Calls are charged at a local rate.
