Spun Glass Theatre

24/09/2026

🎉September kicked off the first of our Pizza & Plays, Hannah, Jack and Tomorrow Too. 🎭

Over 50 audience members joined us for a night of theatre, dancing and of course Pizza!

"Congratulations on a fantastic night" one audience member proclaimed as they left.

🍕Delicious pizza was provided by Sustenance with Duke Harper Pizza and a post-show party hosted by Remi Vibesman (Hidden Beach), transformed a theatre visit into a social event that reflects the character of Hastings itself.🪩

The play Hannah, Jack and Tomorrow Too was written by our fabulous resident writer Chloë Lawrence-Taylor, Directed by Russell Bolam and performed by local actors Seth Ringrose and Helen Black.

The audience response was abuzz with laughter and tears;

"pure, emotional and full of heart"

"nostalgia, moving and really very funny"

And our favourite quote of the night;

"pizza was delicious, play was fabulous, a great night, thank you"

Beatrix Potters Tailor Of Gloucester

Celebrate the 160th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s birth with a fresh adaptation of her classic tale, The Tailor of Gloucester, featuring original music by double Olivier Award–winner 2025 Darren Clark (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button).

Four fabulous actor-musicians bring Beatrix Potter’s beautiful story to dazzling new life, retold through the eyes of the resourceful mice who live between the hems and stitches. With live music, inventive puppetry and a wardrobe of surprises, the story whirls into the twenty-first century.

This heart-warming tale of kindness, creativity and courage is perfect for family audiences – a story that shows the importance of doing what’s right even when no one is watching.

This is Beatrix Potter as you’ve never experienced her before: mischievous, musical and tailor-made for anyone aged 3 and above.
