Frankenstein for kids and not at all scary!

Prof Frankenstein feels lonely. She has no friends and the local villagers are afraid of her. The professor thinks a baby might change things and so, one stormy night with a flash of lightning and the help of her robot Igor, she creates… FRANKY!

“The kids absolutely loved it and really laughed throughout (me too!) The Franky Hop is a new fav and we’re still dancing like zombies now!”

Franky is an entertaining, interactive show for children and their families with Fideri Fidera’s unique blend of music, song, physical comedy and lots and lots of fun audience participation.

Beatrix Potters Tailor Of Gloucester

Celebrate the 160th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s birth with a fresh adaptation of her classic tale, The Tailor of Gloucester, featuring original music by double Olivier Award–winner 2025 Darren Clark (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button).

Four fabulous actor-musicians bring Beatrix Potter’s beautiful story to dazzling new life, retold through the eyes of the resourceful mice who live between the hems and stitches. With live music, inventive puppetry and a wardrobe of surprises, the story whirls into the twenty-first century.

This heart-warming tale of kindness, creativity and courage is perfect for family audiences – a story that shows the importance of doing what’s right even when no one is watching.

This is Beatrix Potter as you’ve never experienced her before: mischievous, musical and tailor-made for anyone aged 3 and above.

We are thrilled to finally announce our brand new project ‘Pizza & Plays’ coming to the Stade Hall revamped as a performance space this Autumn. This amazing new writing project commissions 3 incredible writers working alongside Hastings Museum exploring the history and lore of Hastings.

The talented writers under commission are Chloë Taylor-Lawrence, Anna Atkinson and Elijah W Harris.

Grab a ticket to what is set to be an amazing theatrical experience followed by Pizza and Remi Vibesman of Hidden Beach will play the night out.

🍕🎭 Pizza & Plays Update!

We’re delighted to welcome Director Russell Bolam to the sunny coast of Hastings Old Town and The Stade Hall as the first of our three Creative Champions for the upcoming Pizza & Plays project.

Russell will be working with 12 theatre makers to create three exciting evenings of original plays inspired by Hastings.

📅 This September, he’ll be joining us in person—attending rehearsals and delivering 10 creative workshops exploring theatre directing.

✨ There’s still time to get involved!
We’re currently accepting expressions of interest to join the company—this is a fantastic opportunity to create new theatre, learn, and work directly with Russell.

🎬 About Russell Bolam
Trained at Middlesex University and GITIS (Moscow), Russell has an outstanding international career.

He has:
• Directed Olivier Award winners Kathryn Hunter & Matthew Kelly
• Worked on major Chekhov productions with playwright Anya Reiss
• Collaborated with actors including Lily James, John Hannah & Holliday Grainger
• Directed extensively across leading UK and international theatres

He has also taught at top drama schools including Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Central School of Speech and Drama, LIPA, and many more.

Calling theatre artists and storytellers in Hastings!

A Spun Glass Theatre creative development opportunity....

Spun Glass Theatre is looking for 12 creatives from Hastings & St Leonards to take part in an exciting new creative development opportunity at The Stade Hall.

We’re forming three micro theatre companies to create a 25-minute performance inspired by the stories, history and lore of Hastings.

Your work will be part of a unique evening featuring live theatre, music, fresh pizza cooked on site by Sustenance, and a post-show party with Hidden Beach, and Remi Vibesman.

• £800 seed grant per micro-company
• Rehearsal and performance space at Stade Hall
• Rehearsal support from our SGT creative champions, made up of experienced directors, producers and playwrights.

• Free tickets to shows at Stade Hall
• Ongoing rehearsal space and creative and producing support for two years

🎨 Who we’re looking for:
Creatives with skills applicable to live performance — including acting, writing, directing, design, music, technical theatre, or less traditional forms such as digital art or circus skills.
