Remember that boring photo of the Children’s A&E courtyard we shared last week? Well, your response was loud and clear: this space needs a mural.

For many months, we have been working behind the scenes on just that.

Yesterday, the incredible world-renowned artist Doodle completely transformed the space for us!

What used to be a plain, grey courtyard is now bursting with his iconic, vibrant character-filled artwork, turning the view from the clinical environment into a magical, imagination-sparking wonderland for our brave little patients.

We are completely blown away. The excitement around the hospital is very real. A massive THANK YOU to Mr Doodle for bringing so much joy, colour, and comfort to the Conquest Children’s A&E!

Are you bored of the same old wine?

Join us for a relaxed evening where you’ll taste delicious wines, hear confident “experts,” and decide who’s telling the truth and who’s bluffing. Each wine will be introduced by a ‘Bluffer’, but can you tell who is making up their introduction?

This is the view from Children's A&E. Our fantastic volunteers and the hospital's Estates & Grounds Team have been working hard to improve many of the 21 courtyards throughout the hospital, but we think this one still has plenty of potential!

IT’S LIVE: The £101,000 Appeal for the Conquest Hospital!

Today, the Friends of Conquest are officially launching a major campaign to raise £101,000 for vital, life-changing medical equipment, and we need you!

Standard NHS budgets cover the essentials, but our goal is to provide the cutting-edge kit that takes local patient care to the next level. Every penny raised stays right here at the Conquest Hospital.

Here is what we are buying together:
👶 12 Special Care Cots: Comfort and safety for our hospital’s most vulnerable newborns.
🫀 30 Holter Monitors: Wearable heart monitors so cardiology outpatients can be diagnosed safely at home, and helping keep hospital beds free.
🏥 A Maternity Theatre Resuscitaire: Critical, life-saving kit to instantly warm and support babies who need help breathing the moment they are born.

It's crazy hot at the hospital today, like everywhere, but we are keeping cool with some beautiful harp music from lovely Fiona as part of our Music in Hospital programme. 🎶💚

🤫 Shhh... final preparations are underway!

On Friday morning, we are officially launching a major new equipment appeal for Conquest Hospital.

We’ve been working closely with hospital doctors and nurses to find out exactly what equipment will make the biggest difference to local patients this year, and we have our wish list ready.

It’s a big target, but we know our community is up to the challenge. Tune in 9am Friday morning for the full reveal!
