Hastings Tango Club (HTC) is a non-profit-making association of Argentine Tango enthusiasts. It is a friendly and supportive organisation that invites teachers to run workshops/classes and holds regular practice sessions (practicas). We’re thrilled to invite you to a magical evening to welcome summer and celebrate the Summer Solstice in true tango style!

✨ Mark your calendars for the ☀️🌊 Summer Solstice Milonga 🌊☀️ — a night of beautiful music 🎶, vibrant dancing 💃🕺, delicious food 😋, and warm tango vibes 💫 to celebrate the longer days together.

And yes... we have a surprise for you:
💥 Joe Powers and his magical harmonic will provide live music 🎶. Joe is an internationally acclaimed harmonica player, composer, and recording artist.He performs many music genres, and specializes in playing Argentine Tango music.

🎟 Tickets: £15 (pay at the door — includes food, drinks, and the Tango Live Music!)

What an incredible evening at the Stade yesterday with ! 💃🕺

A huge thank you to Pablo Nievas for an inspiring class, and to Alex Wingate for assisting and supporting throughout. Together, they guided us through the beauty and technique of enrosques and giros with such clarity and passion. It was a joy to learn from you both.

And of course, thank you to everyone who attended and brought such great energy to the floor. As one participant perfectly said: “Last night’s class was inspiring and the explanation was wonderful.” We couldn’t agree more!

🌟 Special Workshop with Pablo Nievas – Enrosques y Giros 🌟
Tuesday 5th May

We’re beyond excited to welcome the world-famous Argentinian dancer Pablo Nievas as part of his European tour for a special two-hour tango workshop in Hastings.

Join us for a unique opportunity to learn from this incredible dancer. Don’t miss out! 💃🕺✨

📅 Date: Tuesday, 5th May
📍 Location:The Stade Hall, TN34 4FJ
⏰ Time: 19:30 – 22:00

🧑🏻‍🏫 Prerequisite: Basic tango technique is required. This workshop is not suitable for complete beginners.

🎟️ Tickets: £15
Booking in advance is essential so we can ensure a balanced follower/leader ratio.

How to book:
To reserve your spot, please email [email protected] We will reply with the account details for the payment.

Places are confirmed once payment has been made.

Couples:
Please book and pay as soon as possible to secure your spot. Use your name as the payment reference and include your partner’s name so we can confirm your booking together.

Single dancers:
If you are attending alone, please try to arrange a partner beforehand so we can ensure everyone has a leader/follower for the evening. If you have arranged a partner, both of you should pay as soon as possible to confirm your places.

If you do not have a partner, please contact us and we will do our best to pair you with another dancer to maintain a balanced ratio. We’ll add those looking for partners to a list and confirm by email once we’ve matched you. Once confirmed, please make the payment as soon as possible to secure your space.

⏰ Please arrive at least 5 minutes early so we can start promptly.

💛 Important Update from 1066Tango 💛

As some of you may know, Mark and Sue will be unable to teach on Tuesday evenings starting this Tuesday, February 3rd. They’ll be stepping away from the tango floor for a while due to health reasons.

Our thoughts are with Mark and Sue, and we wish Mark a full and speedy recovery. 💐

In light of this, the 1066Tango committee has decided to pause our weekly Tuesday classes for the time being.

But tango at 1066Tango isn’t stopping! 💃🕺

✨ We will continue to host our Equinox and Solstice Milongas throughout the year.

✨ We’ll also be inviting tango teachers from London and Argentina to Hastings for special classes.

All updates will be shared on Facebook, Instagram, our website, and via email, so please stay tuned.

Dear tango friends,

We can’t thank you enough for coming to the Winter Solstice Milonga. 🤗🥰We hope you enjoyed the live music, the DJ set, the dancing, the food and drink and of course, the embraces.

Seeing the room full of happy faces and joyful dancers meant everything to us. That’s when we know we’ve done what we set out to do. Happy dancers in a Milonga, that’s always our mission.

A very special thank you to our wonderful pianist 🎹 Teo and amazing Tsang 🎻for the stunning live tandas🎶🎶🎶. Your music lifted the room and gave us moments we’ll remember for a long time, we’re so grateful for your artistry.

If you’d like us to continue, please keep dancing with us and supporting our events, so together we can keep building a warm, lively tango community here in Hastings.🤗✨✨✨✨ Please do share any photos or videos you took, we’d love everyone to have special memories to look back on in the years ahead.🥰
