Huge thanks again for the amazing donation of 48 donuts by Angie McManus and Anthony McManus 🥰 (dream team) as without this donation, the group session wouldn't have been able to take place.

Well, what can I say about today 🤔
Donation shared by John Shaw last night, then.. this morning...more donations shared by John Shaw & Michael Bamford from Re Use Littleborough..... microwave meals and huge pizzas 😋
20 kg of breaded chicken donated from Cadismoor Ltd and very kindly collected by John Shaw
These donations will go towards meals after recreational sessions conducted with staff & residents to help with social isolation...residents have suggested a darts night with pizza & fries, chicken and fries and italian pasta bolognese & garlic bread
🎯
Even bagged a donation of flowers when attending the soup kitchen with residents 🌹🪻🌷

Well...a totally different country, culture, diet and snack tried by residents at Revive Hub @ Holland House, Rochdale today 😋
Jodie, manager of Holland House has family 6,500 miles away in Thailand and has brought some thai culinary delights in before for the men to try....but this one was a tad 🤢
Durian fruit is EXTREMELY PUNGANT & STICKY and the odour has been likened to the smell at the bottom of your wheelie bin 😬
On this occasion...only 2 residents took up the taste test challenge, but the rest were happy to join in the group session and learn about other traditional meals, fruits and snacks in south east asia 🇹🇭🌏⛩️
Kop Khun Kha = thank you (in thai) 🙏

Another group session today here at Revive Hub House, Rochdale...and more autumn food traditions 😋
Black Peas
Residents prepared and cooked them with staff, set out the all important salt & vinegar to add to taste and voila
🎃🎃
Not all residents were up for the taste trial 😂😂 but they still joined in the 'educational' part of the session and was keen to learn the traditions and the nutritional value of the olde autumn tradition 👻👻
