Tomorrow marks 30 years as a Warrant Officer, and 38 years with the Air Training Corps.

I joined as an Air Cadet in 1988, serving until 1996. As a cadet I reached Cadet Warrant Officer, completed Silver DofE, and attended camps that shaped me.

In April 1996 I became staff as a Warrant Officer. Since then I’ve served as Band WO, Squadron WO at 39F (Barnes) and 144 (Richmond), then Officer in Charge of 144 in 2006.

Moving to Sussex Wing, I joined 461 (Chichester) Squadron, then served as Sector WO (West) in 2007 and Wing Warrant Officer from 2009 to Feb 2020.

I later became Wing Training Officer and Deputy Region Training Officer. After NEP from 2021-2022 and a challenging return, I’m proud to be back at 461 (Chichester) as Squadron WO.

As of 30 April 2026: 30 years as a WO. 38 years ATC service.

Honoured to hold the Cadet Forces Medal with three clasps, Golden Jubilee Medal, and other medals from my police and RAFAC career.

A journey of challenge, growth, and immense pride. Grateful for everyone I’ve served alongside. Looking forward to what’s next.
