What a wonderful experience we are having! We have been learning all about animal life cycles, and we've been so lucky to hatch our own ducklings!

All our children (and staff) are utterly in love with our 5 little fluffy friends. They are growing so so quickly, and love all the fuss they have been getting.

✨ September 2026 Nursery Spaces Now Open ✨

At The Ark Centre Nursery we believe children thrive in environments designed specifically for their stage of development 💙

That’s why we have FOUR dedicated age specific rooms — meaning children learn and grow alongside peers of a similar age, with NO mixed age rooms.

Each room is carefully designed to provide:
🌿 Age appropriate learning and routines
🧸 Calm, focused learning environments
👩‍🏫 Tailored support and attention at every stage
🤝 Smooth planned transitions as your child grows
💛 Full time onsite SENCO support

Our dedicated rooms allow children to build confidence, friendships and independence within their own developmental stage while receiving the care and support they need to flourish.

We offer funded 15 & 30 hour places, alongside fee paying spaces.

📍 Term time only
🕣 Monday – Friday | 8:30am–4pm

We’re proud to offer supportive and inclusive respite sessions for children aged 2–7 years (KS1) with additional needs at The Ark Family Resource Centre 🌈

✨ Subsidised sessions for families in our community thanks to support from Colchester Catalyst

Today we headed to West End Beach for Session 1 of 4 with Seaside Explorers! 🌊

Our staff are developing their skills in using our local beach as a rich learning environment for Early Years education, exploring how nature, play, and discovery can support children's development.

The children had an amazing time exploring, investigating, and enjoying the seaside, and we were lucky enough to have the weather on our side too! ☀️

We're already looking forward to our next session and all the adventures still to come.
