🇬🇧 81 years ago, millions in the Allied nations celebrated the end of the Second World War in Europe.

Whilst fighting continued in the Far East until August, Victory in Europe Day was a significant moment in bringing an end to the global conflict.

Up and down the country people breathed a sigh of relief and took to the streets to celebrate.

Today we pay tribute to the Second World War generation, whose service and sacrifice protected the freedoms we enjoy today 🇬🇧

Happy Easter 🐣🌼 Our sections had an egg-cellent time celebrating Easter.

🏃‍♂️Cubs and Scouts enjoyed a fun-filled Easter sports day, full of energy and smiles all round.

🥚 Our Beavers created marbled effect paste eggs and decorated Easter pictures - whilst remembering the meaning of Easter, new life and eggs.

Today the scouts had a trip to Bishop Auckland palace and faith museum. We traveled by train and then explored their own beliefs and faiths as well as others to complete their world faith badge.

Photography Badge - Completed!

📸Our Beavers have officially earned their Photography Badge, and what an amazing time we've had! A huge thank you to one of our fantastic parents, for planning, preparing, and providing everything needed to make it such a fun and creative experience. 🌟

Over the past few weeks, we've:
📸 Learnt how to use a camera and take all kinds of photos - including some very funny portraits!
🎈 Captured moving shots of bubbles, balloons, and Beavers twirling ribbons.
🍁 Taken photos of still objects with different colours and textures.
🔎 Used a magnifying glass linked to a laptop to zoom in and photograph tiny details.
✨ Had a magical evening painting with light using glow sticks and LEDs in the dark.
📸 And for our grand finale — we even made our own creative cameras, filled with photos taken by the Beavers themselves.

An incredible mix of learning, laughter, and creativity. Well done everyone!

Today we celebrate all the mother-figures who support the young people every day 💐💚💜💙

⚜️When badges come home and need sewing in place,
You stitch every adventure with patience and grace.
When camping kit’s muddy and smelling of smoke,
You wash it all clean with a smile and a joke.
You drive us to meetings, to camps and much more,
Supporting our journeys like Scouts before.
So this Mother’s Day we just want to say—
Thank you for helping us scout our way. ⚜️💚💜💙
