🔵⚜️ IMPORTANT: Tesco blue tokens ⚜️🔵

HELP NEEDED
You may have seen these blue coin voting tokens in Tesco stores. Local groups use them to apply for a grant to support activities and learning.
At 18th Hartlepool Scout Group we are taking part in Tesco Community Grants programme to be able to support a new outdoor garden area for growing food, learning outdoor skills and improving wellbeing whilst caring for the environment.
From now until 30th November you can vote for us at Big Tesco Hartlepool, aswell as Little Tesco at Throston and Fens shops. The group with the most coins by 30th November will receive the grant, we would really appreciate your help to vote for us to support with starting up this garden.
You can also message our page if you are able to support the garden or the group in other ways!
Many thanks in advance 🐾

June 24th 1916: The launch of 'Wolf Cubs' by General Robert Baden-Powell, for boys aged 8 - 10. It was themed on Jungle Book, by Baden-Powell's friend and neighbour, Rudyard Kipling, with adult leaders named after the story characters ie Akela, Baloo and Bagheera. In 1966 the name was changed from 'Wolf Cubs' to 'Cub Scouts'.

🇬🇧 81 years ago, millions in the Allied nations celebrated the end of the Second World War in Europe.

Whilst fighting continued in the Far East until August, Victory in Europe Day was a significant moment in bringing an end to the global conflict.

Up and down the country people breathed a sigh of relief and took to the streets to celebrate.

Today we pay tribute to the Second World War generation, whose service and sacrifice protected the freedoms we enjoy today 🇬🇧
