Hartlepool Foodbank Every day people in the UK go hungry for many reasons. Foodbanks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. Trussell Trust Foodbanks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK. In the last year over 1 million emergency food parcels were given out by the network. All food is donated by the public and sorted by volunteers. Frontli

ne care professionals such as doctors and social workers identify people in crisis and issue a food voucher. Clients receive three days of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food in exchange for their food voucher. Foodbanks also make time to chat and to signpost clients to other helpful services. Foodbanks help prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems. A simple box of food makes a big difference. The Trussell Trust partners with churches and communities to open new Foodbanks right across the UK. With over 400 Foodbank projects launched, the Trust's goal is for every town to have one.

We all hope everyone has a safe and fun night regardless of whether you're celebrating in or outdoors.
If going out, stick with people you know and don't let a mate walk home alone.

🌟 SUPPORTING HARTLEPOOL PEOPLE IN NEED🌟

Last week, I had the privilege of welcoming the remarkable Tracey, Lisa, and Andrew from Hartlepool Foodbank to Parliament.

Not only did we have a meaningful discussion about their invaluable work, but I also had the pleasure of giving them a tour, something I always do for fellow Poolies!

We talked about their Essentials Guarantee campaign, a vital initiative dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to the basic necessities they need to thrive. It’s so important that we stand together to support our community and lift each other up.

I’m truly proud to partner with such dedicated individuals who are making a real difference in the lives of Hartlepool people. Let’s continue to spread the word and support this incredible cause!
