🛡️✨ What an unforgettable launch to our new programme — Step Into the World of the Roman Army!

From the moment the hall filled with eager faces, we knew this was going to be special. Our opening talk transported everyone back in time, deep into the heart of Roman military life.

👀 Highlights included:
- A powerful live presentation that brought ancient tactics and traditions to life.
- Authentic replica weapons and armour — yes, that double-headed axe and chainmail were real!
- A passionate speaker from the XX Legion in full Roman warrior regalia, fist raised, voice booming, captivating the crowd.
- Thought-provoking insights into how the Romans settled in Deva (Chester) - the largest Roman fortress in Britain.

This wasn’t just a talk — it was a time-traveling experience that set the tone for everything to come. Our 2025/26 programme is stepping into the future with one foot firmly planted in the past.
