📱💛 Why Digital Wellbeing Matters for Our Children in Harrow 💛📱

Did you know that local research shows digital habits are already shaping children’s wellbeing right here in Harrow?

📊 According to the Harrow Youth Wellbeing (HAY) Report:
• 22% of young people have regular contact online with people they’ve never met in real life
• 16% say their phone wakes them at night, affecting sleep and focus
• 11% have received messages that made them uncomfortable

These aren’t global stats, they’re from children in our own borough (Harrow).

And we know that:
🧠 1 in 8 young people have a mental health difficulty nationally
📱 Digital life is now one of the biggest influences on wellbeing and confidence.

🌱 At Harrow Code Club, we believe digital skills should come with digital balance.

We don’t just teach coding.
We help children learn to:
✨ Use technology creatively, not passively
✨ Build confidence beyond screens
✨ Develop healthy digital habits
✨ Understand the online world safely

Because the goal isn’t more screen time…
It’s better screen time.

🔹Efficient Collaboration – Working on a team? Version control allows multiple people to work on the same project, managing changes seamlessly.
🔹Code Backup – Version control acts as a safety net, keeping copies of previous versions safe and accessible.
