A big thank you to our lovely Poppy Appeal volunteers who have been in store collecting donations for the Royal British Legion.

Your generosity helps support serving and ex-serving members of the Armed Forces and their families.

If you see our volunteers in store, please stop by and show your support. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

Some people leave a light in our lives that never fades. Even when they're no longer with us, the love we shared and the memories we made continue to shine.

This winter, we warmly invite you to join us for Light up a Life 2026 – a special opportunity to remember someone you love, celebrate the moments you shared, and honour their memory by dedicating a light in their name. 💛

Whether you're remembering someone who was cared for by us, or someone special in your own life, everyone is welcome to take part.

Every light dedicated is a meaningful tribute to someone dearly missed, while also helping Saint Michael's Hospice continue providing vital care and support to local people and families living with terminal illness and bereavement.

🕯️ Let their memory shine. Dedicate your light today: saintmichaelshospice.org/light-up-a-life

Have you tried our Fruit & Veg Quiz at Tesco Harrogate yet?

We’ve put together a little activity for customers to have a go at while they’re in store.

There are fun questions to answer, facts to discover and three mystery boxes to test your guessing skills!

Fancy a challenge?

Stick your hand inside one of the boxes, guess which fruit or vegetable you’re feeling and write your answer on the sheet.

Take it to Customer Service to check your answers and collect a prize if you’ve guessed correctly!

We’re also sharing a bit more about Tesco’s Free Fruit for Kids programme and Fruit & Veg Grants, and how they help support children and local communities.

Next time you’re in store, come and have a go. We’d love to see how you get on!

📚 Introducing our Community Bookshelf! 📚

We’re excited to launch a brand new initiative here at Tesco Harrogate!

You’ll now find our Community Bookshelf at the front of the store, just underneath our Community Board. Browse the selection, choose a book you’d like to read, and simply leave a donation of any amount. Every penny raised will support our Charity of the Month.

To help as many local causes as possible, we’ll be rotating the charity we support each month. This month, we’re proud to be fundraising for Siblings Group, a charity that supports siblings of disabled children and young people.

If you have any good-quality books you’d like to pass on, we’d love to give them a new home. Book donations can be handed in at our Customer Service Desk during your next visit.

Whether you donate a book, make a donation, or find your next great read, thank you for helping us support our local community. 💙📖
