Last night’s business meeting was a brilliant one! We were absolutely delighted to welcome a guest speaker from Mind in Harrogate District to chat with the lads.

They gave us a fantastic (and eye-opening) insight into the incredible, vital mental health services they provide right here in our local community. As a local charity, they do an immense amount of work to support people who need it most.

But, like any great charity, they need funds to keep that magic happening-and they do it by putting on some seriously awesome events! 🏃‍♂️💨

One of their biggest upcoming events is the Go Bright 5k Fun Run at Fountains Abbey on Sunday 19th July.

Big shout out to the Harrogate Round Table crew who threw themselves (and a bed) into The Great Knaresborough Bed Race on Saturday - hurtling down hills, splashing through the Nidd, and somehow keeping a straight face the whole time.

Massive respect too to every other team who took part, soaked, sore, and grinning at the finish line. Bed racing really is the only sport where "we nearly capsised" counts as a personal best.

🔥🌲 This week we played with fire (responsibly!) 🌲🔥

This week we headed into the woods at Actionzone Harrogate to learn the fine art of fire-making. From sparks and kindling to building a proper roaring blaze, it turns out there’s a bit more to it than just striking a match and hoping for the best!

As the group rumoured to have something to do with a certain annual bonfire and fireworks display on the Stray for the past 50+ years… we thought it was only right to keep our skills sharp 😉🎆

It was a cracking evening – fresh air, new skills, and great company around the fire.
