🔥🌲 This week we played with fire (responsibly!) 🌲🔥

This week we headed into the woods at Actionzone Harrogate to learn the fine art of fire-making. From sparks and kindling to building a proper roaring blaze, it turns out there’s a bit more to it than just striking a match and hoping for the best!

As the group rumoured to have something to do with a certain annual bonfire and fireworks display on the Stray for the past 50+ years… we thought it was only right to keep our skills sharp 😉🎆

It was a cracking evening – fresh air, new skills, and great company around the fire.

What an incredible night on The Stray for the Your Harrogate Stray Bonfire & Fireworks 🎆 — a huge thank you to everyone who came along, donated, and helped us raise funds for Martin House Children's Hospice 💙

Every spark in the sky and every penny in the bucket helps make a difference. Our amazing team of volunteers gave up their weekend to put on this free community event — all to support a brilliant cause. 🙌

Join us from 5pm onwards for an amazing community night out, run entirely by volunteers from Harrogate Round Table to raise funds for Martin House Children's Hospice ❤️

🔥 Bonfire prep is well underway! 🔥

This morning our team of Round Table volunteers has been out collecting wooden pallets ready for this year’s Your Harrogate Stray Bonfire and Fireworks. 💪

It looks like thirsty work — no doubt they’ll be ready for a well-earned beer this evening 🍺 before they’re back on the Stray tomorrow morning to start building the bonfire ready for Saturday night!

All of our volunteers give their time for free so we can maximise the money raised for Martin House Children's Hospice ❤️ through your kind donations on Saturday night.

See you on the Stray — it’s going to be a cracker! 🎆

We were sorry to learn that the Harrogate Autumn Lights has been cancelled this year.

If you don’t fancy a road trip to Lincoln, Norfolk or Sheffield to get your fireworks fix, fear not — Harrogate’s original and best community bonfire and fireworks night is just around the corner! 🎆

Join us on Saturday 8th November on The Stray for the Harrogate Round Table Charity Bonfire & Fireworks, raising funds for Martin House Children’s Hospice 💛

A huge well done to everyone who took part in the Knaresborough Bed Race on Saturday – what an incredible day and a fantastic turnout as always! 👏🏁

Special congratulations to our very own Harrogate Round Table bed race team, who smashed the course with an impressive time of 22 minutes and 46 seconds! 💪🛏️💨

It’s brilliant to see so many local teams, supporters and volunteers come together for such a unique and fun community event.

Hope you all have a great week ahead – rest those legs, you’ve earned it!
