The 2026 Harrogate Evening Chess League Jamboree took place last night and saw a win for Archbishops just ahead of their nearest rivals Spofforth.

Part of the fun of the jamboree format and teams of varying overall strengths is that it does throw up mismatches but also some heavyweight clashes on the top boards and some fascinating games between improving players lower down. Last night featured games across all these categories.
