We’re hiring an HR Manager to join the Avalon Group team in Harrogate!

Avalon Group is an award-winning, not-for-profit adult social care provider. Our vision is simple but powerful: helping the people we support achieve their best life experience.

We are looking for a hands-on, values-led HR leader to bring our HR and recruitment function together around shared standards, manage complex ER matters with fairness and sound judgement, and create an efficient, welcoming onboarding experience.

Key Details:

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 FTE

Working Pattern: Full-Time (Harrogate office-based initially to establish team connections, with hybrid flexibility available by agreement)

We’re hiring two Locality/Registered Managers (£38,325 per annum) to lead our Supported Living and Community Support services - one covering York & surrounding areas and one covering Doncaster & surrounding areas!

At Avalon Group, we’ve spent over 30 years supporting adults to live independently, safely, and with purpose. In this key leadership role, you’ll mentor Service Managers and Support Workers, ensure high-quality CQC compliance, build trusted relationships with commissioners, and help shape our strategic future.

What we offer:

Salary: £38,325 per annum

Working Pattern: Hybrid working with regular presence across local services

Benefits: Specialist training, career development, up to 30 days annual leave, health cash plan, retail/gym discounts, and employee assistance programme.

What you’ll need:

Social care management experience, strong regulatory knowledge, leadership drive, and a relevant Level 5 qualification (or commitment to achieve one).

In this particular role, you’ll be providing person-centred support to two gentlemen with autism and learning disabilities who love leading active lifestyles. From local walks, swimming, and train journeys to music, outings, and discos, you’ll be helping them enjoy the things they love while promoting their independence, choice and wellbeing.

What we offer:

⭐ Great Pay: From £12.77 per hour, with enhanced rates for nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
⭐ Travel Covered: Paid travel time between consecutive sessions plus 45p per mile mileage allowance.
⭐ Perks & Benefits: Paid Enhanced DBS check, £250 refer-a-friend bonus, Health Cash Plan, high street discounts, and 24/7 advice helpline.
