The Royal British Legion is a charity which supports current and former serving members of the British Armed Forces, their spouses and their dependants. It is perhaps best known through its fund-raising arm, the Poppy Appeal, which works throughout the year, but is most visible in the two weeks leading up to Remembrance Sunday. Harrogate (Victory) Branch was formed in 1943. Membership is open to a

nyone who supports the aims and objects of the Royal British Legion. The Branch Social nights are held on the last Thursday of the month, at Oatlands Mount Working Men's Club (1 Coronation Grove, Harrogate, HG2 8BY)
