Living painting bring pictures to life for the blind and partially sighted. My favourite book was garden birds, each tactile page showed me the differences in scale, colour and feather pattern of each bird I can hear in my garden❤️

⛳️ HAVE A GO AT GOLF! ⛳️

England and Wales Blind Golf is hosting a Blind Golf Clinic & 'Have a Go' Session!

Whether you’ve never held a golf club before or you used to play and want to get back into the swing of things, this session is for you. Blind and visually impaired individuals are welcome. Golf is an incredibly accessible, rewarding, and social sport, but come and see for yourself!

🗓 When: Monday 29th June (call 01423 565915 to register your interest)
📍 Where: Oakdale Golf Club, Oakdale Glen, Harrogate, HG1 2LN

What to Expect:

* Expert Guidance: Free coaching from PGA professionals who understand visual impairments.
* All Equipment Provided: Just bring yourself and some comfortable shoes!

No experience is necessary, and it’s completely free to attend.

2nd hand clothing Fashion Show & Sale!

Get ready to refresh your wardrobe and support an amazing local charity! Vision Support Harrogate District is hosting a 2nd Hand Clothing Fashion Show & Sale, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

Whether you're looking for a fun day out with friends or want to clear out your closet for a good cause, here is how you can get involved:

📅 The Main Event
When: Tuesday, 21st July
Where: [Insert Venue: Vision Support Centre, 23 East Parade, HGI 5LF

11:00 AM – Fashion Show & Light Lunch: See the styles hit the runway! Tickets are just £5 (includes the show and a light lunch).

1:00 PM – Sale Only: Skip the show and head straight to the rails to grab some incredible bargains.

🛍️ We Need Your Donations!
Before the big day, we need your help to stock the rails. We are currently hunting for:

Standard & designer clothing (excellent condition)

Accessories (bags, shoes, scarves, jewellry)

Unopened cosmetics & toiletries

Raffle prizes to help us raise even more vital funds!

Drop-off Times:
You can drop your donations off at our centre Tuesday to Friday, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

💚 All funds raised go directly to Vision Support Harrogate District, helping us continue our vital work supporting local people experiencing vision loss.
