Solar Filament Segmentation Challenge 2026

We invite the solar physics and machine learning communities to participate in the Filament Segmentation Challenge 2026, a Kaggle competition focused on automated, pixel-precise segmentation of solar filaments in ground-based H-alpha observations. The competition offers $3,000 in prizes, and winning teams will have an opportunity to present their work at IEEE BigData 2026. A judging committee from NSO, GSU, NJIT, and UMSL will evaluate the submissions.
