A number of you have asked about how to respond to the latest consultation on the L&G development. Stop L&G have just sent this email to our supporters. http://eepurl.com/i7KyZI with further details.

Please share as widely as you can and send your responses to both the District Council and the County Council as mentioned. The deadline is 25th January. If you have responded already, there’s no harm in sending another response with more points.

Everyone will have witnessed the traffic chaos on Luton Road with the roadworks - this disruption would become daily! Combined with the fact L&Gs development does not conform with the upcoming local plan, please make sure your comments and views are heard!

A quick reminder - the deadline is Monday 28th (tomorrow) for submitting your comments/objections to the below.

L&G have submitted revised plans to rush through their huge development in NW Harpenden. This contravenes the new Local Plan and will grind our local roads to a halt. Even L&G have admitted it will create queues almost 150 cars long and create local rat runs. The only way to stop this development is to make your voice heard and submit your objections to the District Council no later than next Monday 28th Oct.

The Stop L&G team have put together an analysis of the latest documents and details on how you can best respond here: http://eepurl.com/i1Wnzc.

Further details can be found on their website - www.stoplandg.com.

All or most of us will have received an amended planning notice through the door today from St Albans council about the NW Harpenden green belt development. Basically the developers are trying to get this planning approval through now before the new Local Plan comes into force, as the new Local Plan would almost halve their plans.

The Stop L&G team are already aware and we will be sending emails to our followers soon to suggest how to respond before the 28th Oct deadline. Please hold off submitting objections until you hear from us, as we are working through the detail now. Visit www.stoplandg.com for more details and to subscribe for email updates.
