This video from Friday shows the greyhound 'Chantala' suffering a horrible fall at Hove dog track.

Falls like this happen multiple times a day on England's few remaining dog tracks. Since just January, we have recorded more than 600 such falls and all are documented on our YouTube channel as we continue to campaign to shut down every dog track.

For 100 years, falls like this have gone unchecked. The industry have had 100 years to prove that these tracks could be safe, but the reality is there is no safe or kind way to force a dog to race for the betting markets.

Join us on 25th July in London to mark a century of suffering and call for true greyhound freedom.

Today we stopped cars entering Towcester dog track because greyhounds are killed here. Droopys Script was just 1 year old when they were raced and killed earlier in the Greyhound Derby competition, a few weeks ago. It is for dogs like Droopys Script that we protest because their lives are worth more than a cheap night out.

We will shutdown every dog track!

LIVE: 20+ people protesting the Greyhound Derby Final outside Towcester dog track right now.

We have been rained on, assaulted by security, and run into by cars but it is nothing compared to what greyhounds go through on these dangerous tracks.

Droopys Script was killed at this track in this competition just last month. Who will be next?

Our incredibly dedicated team of volunteers continue to monitor every single race involving dogs in England.

Across the 15 remaining active tracks, we recorded a total of 130 dogs experiencing serious falls in May.

Of those falls, more than half of them were hidden from the public as the industry withheld the race replays. Thankfully our volunteers were able to recover the footage to shine a light on the unavoidable dangers greyhounds face on these tracks.

That brings the total this year to at least* 656 dogs suffering falls. That is more than 4 dogs falling every single day.

Every one of these falls is logged available to watch on our YouTube channel .campaigns

*there may have been more falls we can't confirm hidden behind missing race replays and vague racecards which sometimes record a dog falling euphemistically as 'checked' or 'baulked'.

It's no surprise that the racing of greyhounds is banned in most other parts of the world, but why is England lagging behind?

In 2024, 123 dogs were killed on the UK's few remaining tracks. That was, on average, 1 every 3 days. Many more were injured, and each year thousands are discarded by the industry when they are no longer fast enough.

Today we took our protest straight to the Greyhound Board of Great Britain's head offices in London. The 'GBGB' are the industry's regulatory body who oversee this mass injuring, killing, and abandonment of greyhounds.

It appears that their primary purpose is to mislead the public, because they KNOW that people do not support cruelty to dogs. They hide footage of devastating falls on tracks, withhold the names of the dogs who are killed following serious injuries in racing, and celebrate giving more than 3,000 dogs up for adoption each year as if overloading our already overflowing dog rescues is a good thing?

Well, GBGB, what do you say - how many dogs did you kill today?

We will be returning to this exact spot on Saturday 25th July - 11:30 - to march for greyhound freedom after a century of suffering. See you there.

This National Greyhound Day we are protesting outside the Greyhound Board of Great Britain Offices.

We are calling on the GBGB to publish the names of dogs who are injured and killed after each race, like they do in places like New South Wales, Australia.

Right now, when a dog falls on UK dog tracks, we don't know if they are okay until they race again. But some never do.

We have recorded over 600 falls at tracks already in the first 5 months of this year. Over half of the fall videos have been withheld by the industry, and some of the dogs involved have not been seen since.

To the Greyhound Board of Great Britain, we ask a simple question. Where are these dogs? Did they see a vet? Have they been rehomed, or have they been returned to languish in kennels? Are they even alive?

Happy National Greyhound Day!

An opportunity to celebrate the freedom that greyhounds deserve.

Comfy sofas, safe homes, loving families. The opportunity to play and run on their own terms.

Freedom from confinement in barren kennels, dangerous tracks, and abandonment.

Today is for the injured. The missing. The killed. The discarded.

And, of course, the rescued.

The lucky individuals who survived the industry and now live the lives they deserve in safe, warm homes.

After a century of suffering, we are campaigning to shut down every single dog track.

Be part of making dog racing history.

The first dog race took place at Belle Vue dog track in Manchester - now closed - on 24th July, 1926.

As the industry attempts to celebrate their 100-year anniversary, they have been hit with:
- a legal ban in Scotland
- a legal ban in Wales
- a disruption at their annual industry awards night
- the closure of two SIS tracks (Oxford and Suffolk Downs)
- a campaign against every single one of their 15 remaining dog tracks.

And, since January 1st, our volunteers have recorded more than 600 dogs falling at these dangerous tracks. It is time to shut them all down. It is time to march to make dog racing history.

Saturday 25th July - 11:30 - London
