… and today’s Hammers Jam rounds off an excellent weekend on bikes with the sun making that promised return 😊

Great effort from all of the young riders today, mostly good behaviour from the parents 😆 logistical wizardry from Hamsterley Trailblazers MTB, fantastic prizes facilitated by Inspiral Cycles and Lost Spokes and great stuff as always from our marshals and helpers.
Thanks to all vendors who came along and stuck it out in the mud, and to 4x4 Response North East for getting them all unstuck from the mud!

Everyone is welcome to come and see us down at the grove end of the forest (bottom of nitrous).

Even if you’re not racing you can come and have a go on the raffle for a chance to win some great prizes and peruse some goods from industry giants and local legends alike.

There’s also some lovely grub and beers on not to mention some unreal riding from some blisteringly fast youngsters

Imagine being able to call yourself King or Queen Beast for a whole year!
You could change the bottom of your email sig to make sure everyone knew.
You could make reservations at restaurants and demand that there’s a red rope around your table. The possibilities are endless.

That’s the type of high life that Aspen, Daniel, Abby and Kevin are living now thanks to their awesome efforts today 🤟

The King and Queen trophies go to the fastest riders across all age categories. So quite literally the fastest people on course today.

Well done guys!

HB Funduro 2026 all done and dusted!

Actually there wasn’t much in the way of dust this year. All done and mudded 😆

Thank you everyone for turning out and keeping the vibe positive and fun.
Everyone I spoke to had a blast and we had some great riding.

Massive, Massive thanks to the Marshals, you showed up for us all and truly made the event ❤️

So… this community spirit we speak of. The Clan.

As nice as it is to have big hitters from the industry showing an interest (and it is nice), the ones that always get me are the local people. The small businesses, the riders like us that want to contribute to our culture and have a positive impact.

The people that don’t care about what we can do for them, or our metrics or how many times a month we will #, @ or retweet them.

Make no mistake, none of the big industry names in attendance or donating prizes would have the slightest idea who we were if not for the work of our excellent LBS’ Wetrocknride.co.uk and Inspiral Cycles. These guys show up for us year on year and it truly knocks our socks off. ❤️

Hamsterley Trailblazers MTB GROUP. Obviously for building and maintaining the majority of the trails we use but also for turning out en masse to ride our events, to marshal and for doing the lions share of the spade work for HAMMERS JAM TT ❤️

Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England who bend over backwards to help us and put up with our nonsense. They’re cool. They’d be a lot cooler if we could have some off piste but still… ❤️

We have Patina with us in the event village this year. Hopefully the first of many ❤️

We have 4x4 Response North East with us again, helping the day run smoothly, keeping coms up and getting us to those hard to reach places ❤️

Annalee got in touch and very kindly offered to donate medals for our youngsters Hammers Jam TT event after noting that we had tons of prizes last year but no medals.

This is the kind of community spirit we love and it’s been forthcoming by the spadeful (more on this later). No good deed goes unpunished and we were so impressed that we got Annalee to make us some medals and the above beauties for the main Funduro… at very short notice😆

Join us at Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England for an awesome weekend of Bikes, Brewskis, Bangin Grub, Brilliant People and er… Bountiful Brand Beneficence.

We have our biggest event village yet with so many top brands attending and donating prizes thanks to the hard work of our great mates at Wetrocknride.co.uk and Inspiral Cycles who leverage their industry clout on our behalf to get some big names involved and some frankly awesome raffle, podium and spot prizes from the likes of: Madison, Schwalbe, Scott, Banshee, FIDLOCK, Hope Technology, ODI, and Renthal. We also have some awesome stuff from local brands, DFYRS and Patina.
It’s always humbling for us when the love we put into this event is matched by the community and we realise that people are willing to go out of their way to keep grass roots events like ours alive.

Let’s be real, we aren’t the Gnarliest, we aren’t the biggest. GMBN are never gonna turn up and make a vlog. All of our stages are available to ride for anyone, at any time for free. But all of that is what the point is not. The point is that something magical happens on Beast weekend. So many people tell us that they ride the forest week in and week out but when it comes to the Beast it feels like riding somewhere else entirely.

Our course is perfect for people who like to let rip at the trail centre and beyond with 8 stages manageable for everyone comfortable with uk trail centre red/black routes. A real event for the people, for the weekend warriors and have a go heroes. There’s enough here to keep you on your toes but it’s not going to scare the lining out of your shorts! We mix Trail Centre classics, DH park goodness and some wilder terrain to bring you a truly unique timed course.

It’s all about having a good time, having fun, doing battle with your mates and giving something back to the community. If you’re just finding your feet and fancy giving an Enduro race a try, the Beast is for you. If you’re a veteran rider that wants to destroy the whole field, the Beast is for you. If you’re a parent that wants a friendly and laid back event to take part in with your youngster, the Beast is for you.

Get amongst it, it’s like a git huge group ride and then you get to sit about in the sun afterwards with beers.
