Hi everyone, we can’t believe it’s that time of year again already and that it’s our 7th year of running the Hygiene Bank Hampton Christmas Appeal!

Throughout November, we’ll be busy organising toiletry gift sets to be delivered to those living in hygiene poverty in our local communities this festive season.

Today Boots (our official brand partner) has confirmed we can place a big bulk gift set order on our behalf and maximise discount offers to get most bang for all the donated funds.

We need your help to raise more funds to buy enough of these toiletry gift sets to fulfil all the requests. We’re budgeting £7 per gift set (but they’ll be worth more). We’re aiming to give out 900 Christmas sets for women, men, children and babies!

These are to gift to vulnerable people relying on refuges, hostels, homeless shelters, foodbanks, church support groups, community centres and also parents who have to use their child's school as a life line and young people who have just left the care system. This Christmas will be extra challenging for so many.

Our Hygiene Bank volunteer elves will take care of deliveries to get your Christmas gift of clean delivered to where it's needed most.

The Need For Help Is Growing.. This is the 7th year that The Hygiene Bank Hampton has run this Christmas initiative and the toiletries are always so gratefully received.

What Impact Does our Christmas Campaign Make?

Our local charity partners who give them out to those in need tell us how great it helps the recipients feel to receive pampering treats at a time when they may not be able to even afford a new toothbrush or buy Christmas gifts for their family. Feeling clean and cared for helps us all feel good, especially at Christmas!

Our Hygiene Bank Hampton Christmas Campaign 2025 is live and we need your help!🎄

We’ve already had requests for HUNDREDS of Christmas sets from our local charity partners!

We need your help to deliver the gift of clean this Christmas. This year we are focusing on fundraising to bulk purchase toiletry gift sets on your behalf to give to those in need. Helping someone feel pampered and cared for at Christmas when times feel tough is a much valued gift. We buy for women, men, babies and children.

So much in our social diary this summer. So much ahead - and it’s fun that has a purpose. That makes it count for more! Hygiene poverty is a hidden crisis affecting millions. Hygiene poverty limits the ability of individuals to participate in society, with 92% reporting to have decreased their social interaction with friends and family in different ways and 13% saying they have avoided going to work.
The need for The Hygiene Bank’s work is stark – but we cannot meet that need on our own. We need you to help us by getting involved. Enjoy our Events. Donate. Volunteer.

The team has been enjoying the sunshine and on Friday evening Sarah and Anouska visited the beautiful gardens of York House for the 2025 Richmond Leader’s Reception.

It was great to network with other organisations and charities who do such amazing work within the borough of Richmond.

Always great to also catch up with our local government representatives, Councillor Gareth Roberts and Councillor Carey Bishop and new Mayor, Councillor Penny Frost of Ham, Petersham and Richmond Riverside. They are so encouraging and supportive of the work we do at The Hygiene Bank Hampton 💛

🪴 Plants a Plenty! 💛
Yesterday we had the most wonderful sunny day outside in the garden at our HQ Linden Hall in Hampton to help our beloved community centre celebrate its 50th anniversary. What a hive of activity it was, with so many visitors, including our new mayor Cllr Penny Frost and Cllr Gareth Roberts, leader of Richmond Council.
Our magnificent team of volunteers generated around 400 plants to sell in order to raise vital funds for The Hygiene Bank Hampton. The majority came from our green-fingered volunteers Jane and Anouska. Bravo ladies! Some of the plants even got named after Jane’s late dad who grew some of the original Jade plants. I know it was hard to part with these, but what a beautiful way to spread joy out into our community for a great cause in memory of a loved one.
We raised over £1,200 with all proceeds going to The Hygiene Bank Hampton, so we are in a stronger position to continue supplying essential hygiene products for those in need of help in our community. Thank you everyone who bought plants from us, our cheerleaders and our super star volunteers who have worked so hard this week putting on the quiz and the plant sale 💛

⭐️ Fabulous Fundraising to Raise Funds for The Hygiene Bank Hampton ⭐️ Thank you to everyone who joined us for the fun Quiz Night at The Jolly Coopers Hampton on Thursday night! With the incredible raffle prizes and ‘Lucky Golden Envelopes’ wall, £1,165 was raised for The Hygiene Bank Hampton! What a difference this will make to local families living in hygiene poverty.
Thank you to Jane, owner of The Jolly Coopers and Quiz Master Extraordinaire who kindly hosted the event. Thank you to all the businesses and friends who so generously donated incredible prizes. And finally thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers at The Hygiene Bank Hampton who are simply the best! 💛
