One week ago today you helped us make a difference to the lives of people in need all over the Richmond borough.

Richmond's first ever Dragons' Den-inspired charity pitching event, sponsored by Kier, has so far raised over £24,000 for six local charities, and it isn't over yet! Each charity's Dragons' Den campaign will remain open until 31st June, so if you haven't had a chance to show your support yet, you can still do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/team/1r-dd2026

If you felt inspired by any of the charities pitching on the night, and want to learn more about how you can use your skills, experience, or time to support their work, please contact us at [email protected] - we'd love to hear from you!

On Tuesday evening, the Richmond borough came together to celebrate and support six local charities doing incredible work in our borough: MTV Youth Hampton; Richmond Mencap; The Mulberry Centre; Otakar Kraus Music Trust; Richmond Borough Mind; and Brighter Together. A huge thank you to our headline sponsor, Kier, for making this event possible!

This was OneRichmond's first ever Dragons' Den-inspired event, and we are proud to share the success of the evening and the joy that was felt throughout - swipe through to get a taste of how the night went, and all the incredible people who made it possible!

We also want to extend our thanks to photographer Rob Addis Photography , who very kindly donated his services for the evening, and to all the staff at The Exchange, who supported us on the night and in the run-up to the event.

This incredible night was only possible due to the support, belief, and hard work of everyone involved. Whether you bought a ticket, took to the stage, donated, volunteered, or simply talked about the event - thank you for contributing to this first step in what we hope will be a long tradition of bringing underappreciated local charities into the spotlight.

The donations pages for each of our pitching charities will remain open until the end of June, so please continue to show your support! Donate here: https://lnkd.in/eZFxnvQc

"We are thrilled to be taking part in the Dragons' Den-inspired event and look forward to sharing how bringing together the oldest and youngest in our community is helping to tackle social isolation across Richmond."

Meet Brighter Together, the final charity that will be pitching at our Dragons' Den-inspired event on 9th June!

Founded in 2019, Brighter Together connects older adults in Teddington and Twickenham care homes and community centres with local pre-schools for regular intergenerational sessions. Through weekly activities, they improve wellbeing, reduce social isolation and support children’s development.

The charity's approach is to provide honest, joyful, and transformative moments that create a deep impact on the lives of those involved. Their programme sparks joy and creates a sense of belonging that strengthens our communities.

You can still get tickets to come and support Brighter Together, and all our incredible charities, as they pitch for funding and support from our Dragons and the Richmond community at the Exchange on 9th June.
