The Hampshire Care Council’s Very Merry Christmas Parties were a wonderful success, filled with festive activities, laughter and a welcoming atmosphere for children in care and care-experienced adults.

We’re especially grateful to Hampshire Fostering Network for sharing our events on their socials. Thanks to their support, new young people and adults discovered the celebrations and joined us 💜

Hampshire County Council’s fantastic line-up of events for National Care Leavers Month (NCLM) is well underway! These activities are all about celebrating you, connecting with others, and having fun and they’re completely free.

📍 Events are happening across Hampshire including Wi******er, Aldershot, Fareham, Gosport, Hythe, and Basingstoke.
🚗 Transport support may be available, speak to your PA if you need help getting there.
👉 To sign up, just let your PA know which events you’re interested in, and they’ll add your name to the list.
⚠️ Some events have limited spaces, so please express interest early to avoid missing out.

Let’s continue to make this month one to remember, we hope to see you there!

What fun we had! 💚

A lot of hard work goes into the Care Councils, which is why we believe it’s important to bring children in care and care leavers together at our various activity-style events to have fun too.

Activities and events are a fantastic opportunity for young people to enjoy themselves and meet others with experiences similar to their own.

They’re also a wonderful space for powerful conversations to unfold, and we always come away with more ideas and action plans on how to amplify the voices of children in care and care leavers. That’s a win–win for us! 👏🏼

We were thrilled to learn that Hampshire Care Councils has been officially shortlisted in the 2025 A National Voice Awards, in The Voice Award category! 🥳

We are so proud of our Care Council members and all the hard work they put into making sure children in care and care leavers' voices are truly heard 📣

They wholeheartedly deserve this recognition and the opportunity to celebrate the incredible work they do.

Please keep everything crossed for us on Friday 31st October during the awards ceremony 🏆🤞🏻
