The 2nd Hamilton Company of the Girls Brigade meets in Hillhouse Parish Church every Tuesday night between 6pm and 7pm. From P1 through S1 and above we all meet together and still follow the aims set down so many years ago. Our Captain is Susan McLean and she can be contacted at the church on a Tuesday evening or on 07814737560. Susan and all the officers and girls will give anyone wishing to join a warm welcome.

You may have seen the announcement made by Girls' Brigade Scotland a few days ago announcing that they will no longer be operating as of 31st May 2027.

We want to reassure parents and members that nothing will change for 2nd Hamilton Girls' Brigade in the forthcoming year, we will operate as normal providing fun, friendship and fellowship for girls and young women in our community with the same passion and enthusiasm that we have always shown.

As you can imagine, we are saddened by this news and our leaders need to take some time to process what this means for our company and explore the options available to us.

Please hold our leaders past and present, girl, our church Hillbank Parish Church and the wider Girls' Brigade Scotland family in your prayers during this difficult time.

We have had the best day EVER! Rides all day long, so many roller coasters, every single person did a big thrill ride or 2. We definitely have some brave little people in our GB family! The weather was glorious and the surprise dinner with the characters went down a treat, the girls and leaders absolutely loved it and we got the BEST characters; Mickey, Minnie and friends. We celebrated Shona's birthday with some mickey cake then accidentally ended up with an incredible spot for the fireworks. A magical end to a brilliant day. Then because we are hardcore (mad) we went late night shopping and luckily caught the last bus home at half 11! Everyone is tucked up sound asleep and no-one wants to come home tomorrow. x

30,000 steps later we may be absolutely exhausted but our hearts are full of joy. A fun filled day of roller coasters, parades, rides, snacks and a whole lot of laughter. Day 1 at Disney done and we can't wait to do it all again tomorrow with a few surprises for our girls. x
