Ups & Downs Theatre Group The Ups & Downs Theatre Group is a Scottish charity founded in 1995 as a fun creative outlet for young people with Down syndrome

The Ups & Downs Theatre Group has been supporting young people with Down Syndrome and their families since 1995. That means our upcoming show will be a celebration of 30 remarkable years!! Join us for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, brought to you with all the heart, joy & passion that only we can deliver. We were absolutely delighted to recently receive an amazing £500 donation from Scotmid, and we now have even more exciting news!

Ups and Downs Theatre Group has been shortlisted for the Scotmid Member Choice Awards, with the chance to receive up to £5,000! 🌟

But we need YOUR help! 🙏

To support Ups and Downs:

1. Become a Scotmid member and get a membership card – you can apply in store or online.
2. Scan your membership card whenever you shop in Scotmid.
3. At the till, tell the cashier you would like to allocate your transaction vote to Ups and Downs Theatre Group.
4. Keep doing this whenever you shop – every vote counts! ❤️

Please encourage your family and friends to get involved too. £5,000 would make such an incredible difference to our group and our amazing cast.

🌟 A massive thank you to Paige Turley! 🌟

We want to say a huge thank you to the absolutely amazing Paige Turley for giving some of our cast the wonderful opportunity to join her on stage at St Luke’s on Friday night. ❤️🖤

Paige was absolutely incredible, and our cast had the BEST time singing alongside her! 🎤✨ It was such a special experience and one they’ll remember for a long time.

And a massive well done to our amazing cast members who took part — you guys were fantastic and we are so proud of every single one of you! 🌟🎬

Such a lovely piece the Daily Record has written about Ups and Downs and our fabulous day on board P&O’s Arcadia for our Pride of Britain Winners’ Party. ❤️

It really was such a special day from start to finish, and we’re so grateful to Pride of Britain and P&O Cruises for giving our cast an experience and memories that will last a lifetime. 🌟🚢

🏆 Pride of Britain Award Winners Party 🏆
What an absolutely wonderful day had by all! ❤️
I’d just like to say a massive thank you to The Pride of Britain Awards, P&O Cruises and everyone involved in organising such an incredible day for all of our Ups and Downs cast.
From the very beginning of organising the event, right through to the day itself, everyone involved was absolutely amazing. We were treated so well from start to finish and the hospitality was just outstanding.
Our cast had the most fantastic time singing, dancing, performing and simply enjoying every minute of this very special experience. Seeing all their happy faces and watching them have such a wonderful time is something we’ll never forget. 🥰🎶💃🕺
A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the day so special and memorable for our cast. We really cannot thank you enough for the kindness, warmth and generosity shown to every single one of us.
A truly fabulous day filled with amazing memories that will stay with us for a very long time. ❤️🏆

Another amazing experience for some of our cast this summer ! ❤️🎶
Some of our cast had the absolute best time at our amazing patron Callum Beattie’s gig at Edinburgh Castle. They really are his biggest fans and absolutely love watching him perform.
A massive congratulations to Callum on achieving one of his dreams by playing such an incredible venue. We couldn’t be prouder of him! 👏
The evening had everything – we sang, we danced, we laughed, and yes… we even shed a few tears. It was such a special experience to be there.
some of our amazing cast even made an appearance on the big screen, which made the night even more memorable!
Thank you, Callum, for giving us such an incredible evening. We’ll treasure those memories for a long time. 💙

☀️ Ups and Downs have been having a busy summer break and making the most of the lovely Scottish weather!
Here’s look at one of our amazing days out. Some of our Board members, helpers and cast had the absolute privilege of attending the King’s Garden Party in Edinburgh.
It was such a special occasion, and everyone loved the chance to get dressed up and enjoy such a wonderful day together. We feel incredibly honoured and grateful to have been invited to such a prestigious event.

Ups and Downs were so kindly invited to the Wellman’s Cars Community Race Day at Hamilton Park Racecourse yesterday, and what a fantastic day we had! ☀️🐎

We were lucky enough to have quite a few winners, so there were lots of happy faces all round. It was a brilliant day enjoyed by everyone.

We would just like to say a huge thank you to Wellman’s Cars for their kindness and generosity in inviting us. We all had such a fantastic time and are so grateful for such a wonderful day. Thank you again!
