Some complete moron has fly tipped in the Common car park in School Lane. However, being as expected a bit dim, they left an invoice for some of the equipment that was dumped. So those details have been passed to the EBC investigation team. Who no doubt will be checking the cctv footage from the hidden camera too. So if the culprit (James) would like to avoid legal proceedings they may wish to come and collect their rubbish and dispose of it appropriately. I haven’t published the full name we have, as it might be an innocent householder rather than just a complete moron.

This year the Common has been visited by a calling cuckoo that stayed around for a couple of days before moving on. The last time we recorded a cuckoo on the Common was about 3 years ago and that bird was just passing through too.

Excellent effort today from our volunteers and some great teamwork enabled us to string nearly 600 metres of barbed wire to keep our very curious conservation grazers in the meadow doing what they do best!
