🚗💙 Making a Difference Through Volunteer Driving 💙🚗

Over the last year, our amazing volunteer drivers have completed over 500 transport journeys for local residents, helping people get where they need to be when they might otherwise struggle.

These journeys included:
🏥 hospital appointments
👩‍⚕️ GP appointments
🦷 dental appointments
🛒 other essential trips,
☕ Café Club and social outings

Our volunteers do much more than provide a lift. They offer companionship, reassurance and a friendly face to members of our community.

If you have a few hours to spare each month and would like to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you. Volunteer driving is flexible, rewarding and helps local people maintain their independence.

Lovely too see some familiar faces at last nights Hamble Parish Council Annual Community Awards

Great that Georgina Hand won an award for her contribution to HGN over the past 8 years as she has recently stood down as the Chair.

During this time her dedication, leadership and compassion have been nothing short of transformational. She began volunteering at a particularly challenging period for HGN, when the organisation was struggling to function due to illness within the team and a severe shortage of volunteers. The good news is that she will remain a driver so you will still see her

Last week we took a number of our lovely clients to the Cedar Rooms at Royal Victoria Park for lunch, it was our first visit out this year but it was very well received by the clients

Do you have marketing skills ? We really need your help !

Hamble Good Neighbours is looking for a volunteer with IT / marketing skills who could help “drive” our campaign for more drivers.

It is a great local service, which for over 50 years has taken Hamble residents to their medical appointments. Last year we made over 600 journeys… that’s a lot of good will from our small core of volunteers.
We would love to raise our profile and encourage new people into our group.
