Hamble's Living Advent Calendar

We are looking for Hamble residents and business owners who would like to join in the fun
and take on the challenge of designing, decorating and displaying an Advent window in
their home, shop or business during December 2021. The theme and content is completely
up to you - as long as the number ( the date in December) of the window figures
somewhere in the design. One window will be unveiled and,

hopefully lit up, each day
through December and will remain visible throughout the month.. Residents and visitors
will get great enjoyment at seeing what fun concepts people come up with - perhaps
Rudolph the reindeer, complete with a flashing red nose, or an illuminated Christmas tree
made entirely from Lego, or a sparkly winter wonderland created with favourite soft toys. Each window will be unique and there will be prizes! We would like 24 volunteers so that we can unveil a window or door each day of Advent ,
starting on Wednesday1st December. Each volunteer will be assigned a date - first come first
served - and once this is done we plan to create a timetable and map that will show
people how our Living Advent Calendar will progress. Lots more detail to come - this is a work in progress! If you are interested in taking part, or have any questions, please e-mail your name and
