Bhakti Marga UK

Bhakti Marga UK Welcome to the official Bhakti Marga UK page. The path to God is through Love. Just Love. True Love is Unconditional Love from and for the Divine.

Bhakti Marga is a path of devotion – a journey from the mind to the heart where we encounter true Love and our Divine Self. The bhakti path is centred around developing a personal relationship with the Divine in such a way that unconditional acceptance of oneself blossoms and pure love flows to others. As this Divine Love arises within, so does the self-confidence to apply it in everyday life.

22 August 2026: Highlights - Darshan .dham in Austria

_____

Paramahamsa Vishwananda is a satguru, a Sanskrit term for one who is a living embodiment of the truth they teach, understood to guide seekers toward direct experience of the Divine, he is traveling the world to give Darshan.

Darshan (from Sanskrit darśana, root dṛś, “to see” or “to behold”) is the auspicious sight of a holy person, understood as a mutual exchange: one comes to behold, and is beheld in return.

The gathering follows a traditional format with three parts — bhajans (devotional singing), satsang (teaching), and darshan (a personal encounter with Paramahamsa Vishwananda).

Swami Vishwananda

Today is also Mahakali Jayanti.
The twin energies of the universe, Bhagavan and Divine Mother, both entered the world at exactly midnight on this tithi. Both always come and go together. There is no Sadhana that is complete without both of them being loved and worshiped. They are One. She came to protect the innocent and destroy the evil. He came to light the way and illuminate divine love within all. When the world becomes filled with Adharma, one of them works behind the scenes and one works for all to see, to clean up lower energies and bring everything back to its highest expression of unconditional love. Ma Kali appeared in Gokul as the daughter of Yashoda Maiya and Nand Baba. Sri Krishna appeared in the jail of Mathura as the son of Maharani Devaki and Maharaj Vasudev. Then they switched places and created the most divine net of love around the innocents who knew only to love and love endlessly. Sri Krishna could have easily taken birth in Gokul directly, and Ma Kali in the prison to destroy Kamsa’s tyranny. But they didn't do that. They showed the world that love holds no barriers. It doesn’t matter where or how one takes birth, love brings one to the correct place to perform one’s highest Dharma. Divinity is present everywhere. Their plan was perfect. They answered every call of the bhaktas and showed the glory of divine love. Ma Kali appeared and disappeared within the same night. But She remained in Her invisible form around Vraj. Protecting Sri Krishna and all the residents. Even when hiding so perfectly, She was still seen by the gopis and worshiped as the one who could grant their wish to never be separated from Sri Krishna. Eyes of love can see the Divine even when it tries to hide. Shubh Ma Kali Jayanti to all.

Meditate on Sri Krishna.
Allow your mind to be permeated with His ever-new yet One eternal beautiful form. His extraordinary infinite names. His sweet voice that speaks to your soul and lifts it up with great bliss. Krishna is famously known as tribhanga, the one bent in 3 places, breaking the rigidity of the mind that perceives divinity as far from itself; removing any limitations and shackles of the three gunas prevalent in the three worlds. The Dust-Adorned Face (Godhuli Krishna), coming home after being in the forests of Vrindavan is infinitely more beautiful than any freshly polished jewel. His beautiful, mildly smiling face is completely dusted with the gray-golden earth kicked up by the hooves of thousands of returning cows. Sweat drops mingle with the sacred forest dust on His broad forehead, sparkling like fine diamonds under the rays of the setting sun. His beloved flute is on His lips playing a melody heard by each atma differently. The blue lotus petals of His eyes are slightly closed, enjoying the divine dance of Prem, Bhakti, and Sharanagati. His feet are bare with beautiful shining nails, and the earth itself becomes like butter as He gently takes each step. All of nature is uplifted by the presence of Love, chanting His name with their sweet calls. The unconditional love of the universe is Madhusudan Sri Krishna. The one who is showered by the nectar-like love flowing to Him from everywhere. Everywhere the bhaktas look, they only see their beloved Kanhaiya. Chant the Mahamantra as you meditate upon the glorious form of Sri Krishna. Om. Om. Om. Sri Vitthal Giridhari Parabrahmane Namah. Stay in this peaceful state as you contemplate upon Bhagavan’s beautiful form as He becomes the small divine child born in your heart, the Janamashtami that comes again and again. With the gentle waves of love, His cradle in your heart moves with joy. He comes to you longing for your pure love and nothing else. Sri Gurubhyo Namah Hari Om. May Sri Krishna shower His blessings on the whole world. Much love.

Swami Vishwananda

The day when we celebrate one of the most beautiful lives ever lived. Shubh Sri Krishna Janmashtami.
The one who gave the world timeless words of love and wisdom throughout His life. The one who fulfilled His eternal promise of being close to those who love Him, all throughout the world in all ages. The one who is the best part of every heart. Who was a friend to the weak, a champion of Dharma, a joyful companion, an ever-loving brother. Words are never enough to describe the glorious life of Vasudev Sri Krishna. His very name translates to ‘the all-attractive one’. Not only is he Shyamsundar of extraordinary beauty but He is also Atma Ramana, the one who abides in the Self and gives endless bliss to the atma. The one who incarnated more than five thousand years ago and the one who is ever-present in this world. He is just as present for His devotees now as He was then. One just has to search for Him in the right way, in the right place. Search with love within the heart and one will always find Him. Born at midnight when all was dark, Sri Krishna became the light of the world. When heaviness spread across the land and the flames of war were ignited by evil-minded ones, Sri Krishna became the beacon of support and love for all. Yet for Himself, he never asked for anything, never worked for himself, keeping always others in His merciful heart. He is the innate positivity that attracts all other positive qualities. He is the in-dweller of the soul, the cosmic being that created and encompasses everything, and the one who appears beside His bhaktas when they sincerely call for Him. Every precious drop of Bhakti is Sri Krishna himself. Each moment of His life should be meditated upon.

What does it mean deep trust? Is it an absolute faith that we will be graced to reach such place?
This question is very nice and we can see in it which elements we have to analyze properly to reach the clarity.
Basically here we have to analyze the relation between beliefs, faith and trust ie what are the differences between these three. It is important to see the difference because very often it is understood as the same thing.
But they are not. We will look upon this from the angle of communication, relationship, psychology and spiritual growth. Looking from the angle of communication means what?
It means these three categories are certain language and communication channel between us, world and Divine.
Thoughts are energy but they also become things, deeds and actions. They are code but also a shape.

Awakening into the Fullness of Yourself

“Firstly, I wish you all a blessed Krishna Janmashtami. So, it’s very ironic that we say Janmashtami for the one who is unborn, yet manifested. Why He manifests Himself? To uplift humans, no? Bhagavan is full, the whole. And that’s what is His life about. And that’s what He wants you also to realise, that you have to awake into the fullness of yourself. Fullness means not hanging upon that limitation of what you think you are, you’re more than what you think you are. Even if you say you are atma, you don’t know yet what is atma. Have the experience of that atma.” - Paramahamsa Vishwananda

Swami Vishwananda

Often one sees a deep beauty in music. Then why not in words?
When used as a meditative practice, music can naturally turn one more inward. Have you seen someone who is in the state of flow when they are singing, dancing, playing an instrument, or even just listening to something that brings them into peace and love? On the path of unconditional love, Bhakti Yog, we hear about music and its various expressions so often. Because it can lead to extraordinary states of experience within the self. Have you felt the vibrations of the bhajans, of the instruments? They are so powerful. They create subtle ripples that impact the various chakras and organs of the body, creating healing and bliss. They work on the subtle parts of the Self and bring the jeevatma’s energy into a concentrated upward movement towards the higher self. The same is true for any words that one speaks. But why is it so much easier to accept this about music, but people still very much ignore the power of their words? What one speaks and how one speaks is such an important part of human experience. Words create ripples in the fabric of the universe, lasting a far longer time than one believes to be possible. There are words that were spoken or the way they were spoken that you still remember years later, right? The same is true for other people and how they feel. So why misuse or waste this extraordinary gift of speech from Bhagavan? Why not infuse it with love and kindness, as the constant reminders of the SatGuru are showing everyone? Not everyone has received the ability to hear or speak. Everything can be a way to go closer to Bhagavan, but only if one starts to look at it that way. Those who have these abilities also have the responsibility to use them properly. The way one thinks, that is the way one speaks, then one goes out in the world and acts in that way also. When the mind receives contradictory signals from the thoughts, speech, and actions - what do you think would happen? Confusion? Depression? Inability to move? Lack of belief? Anger? So many problems arise when there is hypocrisy hiding within. Purify your mind, speech, and actions towards genuine unconditional love and you will see that Bhagavan, the SatGuru, were always so close to the Self.

Swami Vishwananda

One should not confuse love with attachment or obsession.
Single-pointed love is not the same as being overly attached or obsessed. Love is freedom. It is joy and safety. Where the entire self feels alive, healthy, good. Feeling that inner joy and wellness is spirituality. Strive for that, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Attachments or obsessions make one feel smaller and smaller. Safety, health, and wellbeing start disappearing. The mind becomes fearful and starts seeing scarcity and darkness everywhere. It becomes afraid of losing what it has. But love can never be lost. One can never be far from it. Enlightenment, spirituality, these are states of being within the self. Don’t follow someone’s story of finding spirituality or enlightenment outside. The true SatGuru leads one to the inner Guru, to complete union with God within the heart. Anyone who disconnects you from your own inner world, your intuition, your gut feeling, the truth of your health, isn’t looking out for your wellbeing or spirituality. That would just be a game of power and control. Complete independence is complete union with God within the heart. To want complete independence of self is not wrong. That is the blooming of the atma, the true self. To realize oneself, one has to let go of the obsessions and fears of the mind. The SatGuru is within one’s own heart, a pure feeling of love, there is no external shackle or necessity on the spiritual path. Only that complete freedom and joy of feeling loved by God in every moment. This independence can then be infinite because the eternal friend is always with you. The friendship with Sri Hari Narayan within one’s heart is realized. This is single-pointed love towards Bhagavan. Not an obsession of the mind which makes one go into darkness, nor an attachment of the outside which becomes a shackle sooner or later. Love is complete freedom, don’t be afraid of anything.

Swami Vishwananda

Spiritual ego is far worse than regular ego of material things.
The spiritual ego has two ways of punching others. First, one behaves horribly towards the world. And then one delivers the second worse punch, which is coating the entire bad behavior under the disguise of goodness, morality, or God’s will. Any time someone justifies their bad behavior by telling you that is how the “saints” behave. Or, “this is the way that one learns on the spiritual path.” Please know that they do not know what they are talking about at all. They are not behaving like spiritual people at all. It is pure negativity and ego. Nothing else. True spirituality starts on the inside, continuously purifies oneself on the inside, and blossoms outward as a beautiful flower in the peak of its bloom simply to give away everything without any conditions, without holding any beauty back. Don’t let anyone tell you that they have greater closeness with the SatGuru than you do. Don’t let anyone tell you that they understand or know Him so you must listen to them. Don’t let anyone tell you that they are allowed to behave differently from what the SatGuru is telling everyone to do publicly. Public and private Adesh never contradict one another. In fact, what is spoken publicly by the SatGuru for everyone is the basis of receiving any guidance from Him one-on-one. If one has not made and isn’t continuously making efforts to follow what is taught and given openly, then one will never understand any private conversation with or guidance from the SatGuru. It is so sad to see that people sometimes inflate their egos because they have spoken with the SatGuru about something when others were not there, and now they use that incident to not follow what He tells everyone to do. This kind of behavior has a terrible smell of ego that is most off-putting for God and Guru. Bhagavan runs far away from the slightest smell of this kind of manipulation. Simply because someone said that it is God’s will, does not make it so. God’s will always increases love. Increases freedom. Increases joy. Increases deep wisdom of seeing oneself and others as equal. Be very careful and analyze: are you following someone’s ego or are you following the SatGuru’s true teachings of love and humility.
