✈️ 1163 (Colne Valley) Squadron is BACK! ✈️

What a fantastic evening at 1163 (Colne Valley) Squadron as we opened our doors once again!

It was brilliant to welcome so many potential new cadets and their families to the Squadron and give them a taste of what the Royal Air Force Air Cadets has to offer.

From flight simulation and first aid to fieldcraft and space and aviation activities, our cadets and staff were on hand to showcase just some of the opportunities available.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, and particularly to the cadets and staff who helped make the evening such a success.

This is an exciting new chapter for 1163 (Colne Valley) Squadron, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our new cadets.

1163 is back, the doors are open, let’s Achieve Together.

Two years ago today cadets and staff last paraded at 1163 (Colne Valley) Squadron for an emotional sunset parade ✈️

Since August 2024 we have been working hard to recruit and develop a staff team made up of local people that can support a new cohort of cadets.

We’re delighted to be reopening our doors next month with the same great offer as before. If you’re interested in joining us either as a potential cadet or volunteer member of staff please get in touch.

Could you help bring 1163 (Colne Valley) Squadron back to the local community? 📣

A small group of dedicated staff have been quietly working in the background to reopen 1163 (Colne Valley) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets. While we don't yet have a confirmed timeline, we're making progress and we need adult volunteers to help us get there.

If you're aged 20 or over and have some time to give, we'd love to hear from you. No military experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a desire to support young people in the Halstead area.

Please fill in our short expression of interest form below:
