💙 What is our PTA AGM? 💙
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is our once-a-year meeting where we get together to look back at what the PTA has achieved, talk about our plans and ideas for the year ahead, and elect the committee who will help keep everything running.
It’s also a chance for new parents and carers to come along, meet us, have a cuppa and find out a little more about what we do. You don’t need any previous PTA experience, and coming to the AGM certainly doesn’t mean you’re signing yourself up for everything!
Our PTA is about bringing parents, carers and the school community together to create lovely experiences for our children, raise funds for things that make a real difference and, most importantly, have some fun along the way.
🌟 Roles open for nomination
Chair – Helps lead the PTA, keeps everyone moving in the same direction and works closely with the school. You definitely don’t have to do everything yourself — that’s what the team is for!
Co/Vice Chair – Supports the Chair, shares the workload and can step in when the Chair isn’t available. Perfect if you’d like to be involved in helping lead things but want a partner in crime!
Treasurer – Looks after the PTA finances, keeps records of money coming in and going out and helps us keep track of how our fundraising is doing. You don’t need to be an accountant — just reasonably organised with numbers.
Secretary – Helps keep us organised by taking meeting notes/minutes, helping with agendas and keeping important PTA records together.
Community & Partnerships – Builds relationships with local businesses and organisations, helps with donations, sponsorship and prizes, and gets our wider community involved in supporting the school.
And you don’t have to hold an official role to be part of the PTA. We always need people who can help at events, come up with ideas, wrap prizes, run a stall, contact businesses, bake a cake or simply lend an extra pair of hands when they can.
There’s no minimum amount of time you have to give. Whether you can help regularly or just once in a while, it all makes a difference. 💗
Wednesday 30th September • 9:00am after drop-off • Meet at reception.
☕ Tea, coffee and cake provided everyone is welcome!
