In those 10 years we have continued to be inspired by his lovely, adventurous, playful nature. It is fitting therefore that we mark this poignant milestone with a fun lifestyle challenge that everyone can join, doing as much or as little as you wish or are able. We would like to encourage you, either as an individual, family or team of friends, to to join the Challenge and to aim to raise a minimum of £200. The Challenge will run through the whole of July. For the more active among us there will be some specific challenges you can sign up to that have set targets (walking 50 miles during the month, running 50 miles, swimming 10 miles or cycling 200 miles.) The challenges can be attempted individually or as a family or team of friends where each person banks some miles into the overall pot. If the set targets aren’t for you then we invite you to set your own target and we will cheer you on (such as walking round the block every day for the 31 days of July, learning to swim, doing ‘dry’ July or losing half a stone – or something else entirely.. Jamie’s Fund continues to provide amazing support for mental health in Uganda and, with your help, we are hoping to raise enough to continue to develop hospital and community mental health projects over the coming two years. To join us simply follow the steps below

2. Choose one of our set targets (click on ‘Events’ button above for information on individual targets for each event) or, if the set targets aren’t for you, decide on your own lifestyle goal. ( click on ‘Events’ button and the ‘Set Your Own Target’ page for more info)
3. Set up your own, your family or your group Virgin Giving page by following this link http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/jamieschallenge click on the ‘Start Fundraising’ button and follow the instructions. We are suggesting you aim to raise £200 but bigger and smaller targets are welcome.
4. Help us to build a Jamie’s Challenge community on Facebook to cheer on others and to keep us updated on your own progress by posting on the Challenge page ( if you use a sports App such as Strava please post screen shots of your activities for everyone to see)
