Hello all! It’s been a while since we did a donation request but seeing how it’s Christmas we have decided it’s time to go again!

We are currently looking for donations for ward 5A at Calderdale Hospital!

Ward 5A is run by some incredibly generous staff who look after their mostly elderly patients, for them we are looking for

Age Appropriate presents such as

good condition puzzles (all pieces we know how frustrating it is to miss one or two pieces!)

Toiletries - some fancy smellies, male and female appropriate

Comfort items, Blankets, Tea and Biscuit Hampers, Craft Kits, Hand Creams, everyone loves a little teddy bear!

Sweeties! Yorkshire Mixtures, Wethers Originals and some diabetic friendly sweets.

Doesn’t need to be brand new but toiletries must be sealed and must be in good condition

If any local businesses on here would be generous enough to lend us a spot to store drop in donations that would also be appreciated! Only so much I can fit in my little polo ❤️

Yesterday was an amazing day for The Puzzle Project — we dropped off another bundle of donations including:

🧼 Deodorants & shower gels
🧸 Toys & games
📦 Our very first Amazon wishlist items (big box of fidget toys, puzzles & mega blocks!!)
💛 All topped off with a bunch of goodies bought using the £20 Morrisons gift card — thank you again Morrisons Keighley!

Your kindness is already making a difference for the dementia and children’s wards we support. Every item donated helps bring comfort, distraction, and joy to those who need it most 💜

📦 Calling Our Puzzle Project Angels! 🧩💜

We’re on the lookout for a large, sturdy donation box to help collect items for local hospital wards and vulnerable people in need. Ideally something plastic, with a lid, and big enough to safely store jigsaws, toiletries, fidget toys and more.

If you have a spare box you’re not using—or know a shop, workplace or community group that might be able to donate one—we’d be so grateful!

Yesterday’s Puzzle Project collection run was a big one! 🚗🧩

We clocked around 50 miles collecting and dropping off donations across Hebden, Mytholmroyd, Sowerby Bridge and Halifax — and it was absolutely worth it.

Here’s what we picked up thanks to your generosity:
✨ 3 twiddle muffs
🧩 2 jigsaws
📚 A full box of Usborne books
🧴 Loads of toiletries (you absolute stars)

We’re now looking into permanent drop-off and collection points to make donating even easier. Keep your eyes peeled!
