Whats On In Northowram we are ready for you, it may be raining, but we will still be there at 6 for Carols and Christmas tree lighting up. NCSAC - Northowram Community Sports and Activity Club have got hot and cold food and drinks and some shelter, but come dressed for the weather as inside space is limited. See you soon!!!

Hello Whats On In Northowram Northowram businesses Northowram Pumas Running Club

Only 4 days to go, for the Christmas Tree Switch on. Thursday 5th December!!!

We will be meeting at 6pm, at the tree, for Carol singing, to get ready for countdown and switch on at 6.30pm. Then a lit up walk to NCSAC - Northowram Community Sports and Activity Club for entertainment from some of the Northowram and town centre students at All-Star Academy and special pantomime guests. Then a chance to eat drink and be merry.

There will be drinks and food available at the club, inside space is limited, so wrap up warm.

The NCSAC is card only, so please come prepared.

We can't wait to see you all.

Thursday 5th December from 6pm.

We are so excited to announce our switch on plan.

We will meet at the tree at 6pm, for Carols, countdown and the tree will switch on at 6.30pm.
There will be some special guests!!!

We will then take a slow "lit up" (bring torches and we will provide glowsticks etc) walk up to NCSAC - Northowram Community Sports and Activity Club for a "Whoville" switch on afterparty.

At 7pm, some of the Northowram and central Halifax Community children and their pantomime friends will be performing with All-Star Academy.

Then you can buy festive food and drink and enjoy a social at the Sports Club and give yourselves a huge pat on the back for raising funds for the community tree.

Tickets are free, it's just to get a rough idea of numbers for the NCSAC and for traffic etc.

We now have a confirmed, and very welcome donation from the NORTHOWRAM SCARECROW EVENT comittee. This means we are covered for the tree, installation and switch on costs.

However... After our switch on event, we will be handing the fundraiser and any extra funds to Martin Hey/the Northowram community. And it is possible that a comittee will need to be formed.

Anything extra we make, will go into a pot to hand over, so PLEASE do continue to donate and sponsor. This will help to fund a tree next year.

Also. For the switch on event we are looking for a covered wagon back, to use as a stage. (Like the type that are used as floats at the gala). Can any local business help us out?

WHOOP WHOOP.

We are at our original target of £1600.00, minus fees, and we have some extra money for future trees coming from one of our local committees hopefully.

The tree itself is covered, so anyone that donates or sponsors now will be covering the switch on fee, as we wanted to involve the community, not just have a generic "oh the trees up" moment.

Thank you so much for your donations, and keep them coming, as they will go towards future years trees, and the switch on event. We will be meeting next week to firm up a date and location.

Although we are close to the cost of the tree, we still need to "pot" some funds for next year, and in order to have a switch on event we need to find extra funds for this too.
