Nick Reeves RIP (the man, the myth, the mercenary)

Saturday morning laid on bed after a heavy night in Scarborough, phone vibrates 07:58 who is messaging this early. It's from a good friend Harry Gibson letting me know Nick had been killed on his Lambretta on way to Scarborough.
It is now Sunday I am home thinking about Nick, struggling to write a few coherent words in his memory, have read many comments on Facebook and sent privately, the out poring of love and respect is testament to the high esteem he was held. Decided to plagiarise a few of their comments.
Nick Reeves born 07/02/1969 only 57 years old, tragically taken from us on Friday 3rd April around 21:00, he was hit by a van on the A1.
The word legend is used far to freely these days but in Nicks case it fits. Nick was a long time member of the Mercenaries SC and massive LCGB supporter, he was constant name at the top of the BSM leaders board for many years.
Nick was the archetype scooter boy, loved his Lambrettas, did the miles, partied hard, was mischievous and it was all done with a big grin on his face. He was the original cheeky chappy, always scheming loved a wind up. Always last to bed, but also last to leave. Many times Sunday lunchtime there was an empty field apart from one tent Nicks.
Nick was a character, he ran his own Lambretta business was an excellent paint sprayer, fabricator and Lambretta builder. But where he excelled was his personality, you couldn't help but like the man.
Rest in peace Nick you will be sadly missed.

We would like to say a very BIG THANK YOU to everyone for coming and supporting our Christmas doo this year! We raised £200 on the night which we are hoping to have matched by Lloyds Banking Group which we will be donating to Overgate Hospice.
We would also like to thank and give a MASSIVE shout out to our friends The savile arms for supplying us at short notice with the Pie warmer and Siddal Cricket & Athletic Club for the hospitality…THANK YOU from all Next Generation Scooter Club

It is with the greatest sadness we inform you, our club members and friends that The Man The LEGEND Kit has sadly passed away in his sleep last night…we are all completely devastated by this tragic loss but send all our love and strength to his family that he loved very much…R.I.P Kit always in our hearts 💙
