We're looking for helpers to help us help you

We want to organise more events but we need people to help with planning, organising and being present on the day.

If you are interested there are some road shoes happening over next few weeks that would give you an insight into what needs to happen to make events happen in our community spaces.

If you can get along to any of these let us know, it'd be a great help to have more helpers to help us to help you

🎉This morning we gathered to celebrate 100yrs of Mount Tabor Park and to mark the start of some work to enhance the space over the coming year.🎉

🌳We planted a new cherry tree and unveiled the new rock in celebration of Millie Lumb, who has given over 70yrs of volunteering to this community, as nominated by Dot Spence who helped with the planting.🎉

🌞The weather was perfect and the chatter was great, memories of the park and suggestions for it's future

💞It is YOUR Community and getting involved doesn't take a lot of effort, but it brings the greatest reward of all... A sense of belonging and pride in where you live and who you share the spaces with.

We’ve got a fabulous afternoon planned with live music, food & drink, stalls, face painting, candyfloss, the duck race, raffle, charity auction, entertainment and plenty more besides. 💕🎶

🎤 AND… KARAOKE! 🎤

We’re squeezing in 30 minutes of karaoke, and we’d love a few brave souls to take to the microphone! 😆

If you fancy choosing a song and claiming a slot, please contact the Mayor and we’ll get you on the list. Solo, duet, magnificent singer or enthusiastic amateur – all welcome! 😂🎶

And don’t forget, Mayor’s Day is for everyone. Bring the children, bring the grandparents, bring your friends, bring the dog… and come and spend the afternoon with us in our beautiful village. ❤️
