Calderdale MS Group

We are very lucky to have been given the opportunity to do a bucket collect all week in October, November and December in Morrisons Elland, while at the same time collecting in Asda Halifax on Saturday 28th November.

We desperately need volunteers to cover these collections or we are going to have to turn them down.

Can you help, even if it’s just for an hour? If you can we’d be very grateful.

Anyone have an NHS wheelchair that needs adjusting or a minor repair? This new drop in session could be just what you need. If these become a regular fixture, no more waiting months until you reach the top of the waiting, just pop along to the drop in session and hopefully they’ll be able to help.

I’ll be popping in if I can. One of my arm rests needs adjusting.

Disappointingly, due to poor ticket sales, we have taken the decision to cancel our ‘Evening with the Landlubbers’ event on the 11th September. Those who have bought tickets will receive a full refund.

During the summer holidays, Katy is taking on the challenge of walking **35 kilometres every week** – an amazing **192.5 kilometres** in total!

You can expect to see a few photos along the way, as I'll be joining her on some of the walks to provide a bit of moral support (and hopefully keep her motivated!).

Can we please give a huge shout out to Asda staff and customers for having us in store this afternoon collecting for our group. Special mention to Emma, the community champion for giving us this opportunity.

Thanks also needs to go to our volunteers who donned their orange t-shirts and manned their orange buckets. You are all a-ma-zing!

I'm now working on the timetable for the 15th August, so if you can spare an hour or two we would be very grateful.

Once again we are blown away by the generosity of Brodstock, MuSic 4 MS and Christine West. We are so lucky to receive such amazing support. We could not support those in Calderdale affected by MS without it. A huge THANK YOU to all involved.
