A powerful moment for Clowns Without Borders at the Imperial War Museum.

We were joyfully honoured to attend the opening of Childhood at War, an exhibition exploring the experiences, resilience and humanity of children living through conflict.

The exhibition features a pieces of our story, Ping Pong’s hat, worn by Neil Frost in so many of our shows around the world and a short film about our work with refugee children in Greece.

For us, these represent more than performances. They hold memories of connection, laughter and moments of childhood reclaimed…even in the most difficult circumstances.

Thank you to the Imperial War Museums for creating space for these important stories and for recognising the role that play, joy and human connection can have during times of war.

❤️ Every child deserves the chance to laugh, play and simply be a child.

We spend a lot of time treating play as the thing you do when the real work is done.

It isn't.

The most present, connected, human moments we've seen, from crisis shelters to classrooms to rooms full of strangers... have all started with play.

The willingness to be in the room with another person and see what happens ❤️

Let us say this clearly, because it needs to be said.

Something worrying is happening right now.

Rights that women spent generations fighting for are being quietly dismantled.

Not always in ways that make headlines.
But through policies, laws, and “small changes” that slowly roll back equality.

A recent global review found that 1 in 4 countries now reports a backlash against gender equality.

When women lose rights, children lose futures.

When women are safe, heard, and supported, children grow up in stronger communities.
When women can lead, imagine, and create their futures, entire generations gain more possibilities.

But when women’s rights are weakened, safety, opportunity, and dignity at risk - for everyone.

This International Women’s Day is about protection.
Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL women.

The world every child grows up in tomorrow depends on what we protect today.
