🍔🎉 There’s been lots of hard work happening at Skillshop as we prepare for our stall at the Halifax Charity Gala 🎪💛

Everyone has shown brilliant teamwork and creativity.

We treated ourselves to a midweek BBQ to celebrate the effort, good food, good company and plenty of smiles 🌞🍔

👩‍🍳🍞 Our Skillshop kitchen has been full of hard work and lovely smells over the past few weeks

👩‍🍳✨ Everyone has been baking, cooking and practising real work‑experience skills, from preparing ingredients to working safely and confidently in the kitchen.

These sessions help build independence, teamwork and pride in what people can achieve.

It’s been amazing to see everyone growing in confidence and enjoying the process 🍞💛

Outings like this help people grow in confidence, try new things, make choices and enjoy being part of the community.

We are proud to be coming together to celebrate Learning Disability Week 2026, focusing on visibility, inclusion and valuing people with learning disabilities 💛

We’ve taken full advantage of the lovely Easter weather 🌤️

Our yearly visit to Chelsea’s Farm was extra special with all the new lambs 🐑💛 and everyone really enjoyed seeing them during lambing season.

We also had a great day out at the Bradford Museum 🚌🏛️ exploring the exhibits and spending time together.

A big well done to everyone who came along, it’s been a fantastic Easter 🌼✨

We loved hosting our Easter Egg Hunt and egg decorating this week, thank you to everyone who joined in and made it such a lovely activity.

🌙 Eid at Skillshop

We marked Eid together this week with a relaxed, hands‑on celebration across our sessions.

🍪 Our baking group made traditional sweets and cookies.
🍛 We cooked a range of starters and curries.
💃 We enjoyed dancing, music and beautiful henna designs.

It was a lovely way to share traditions, learn from each other and spend time together as a community.

We celebrated St Patrick’s Day on Tuesday with plenty of fun and colour. The group enjoyed face painting, music, and lots of green everywhere you looked.

Lisa Cook treated everyone to her traditional Irish stew, warm, hearty, and absolutely delicious.

A lovely mix of food, creativity, and Irish spirit.
