It’s Tuesday, which means it’s 🇦🇹 club night 🌞🎊💃🕺 That time of the week where we set all our cares aside and go run around the beautiful Calderdale landscape with great company ⛰️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🥳🎉

If you regularly run 5m/8km, and want to see why so many ‘flock’ to join in the 🤍❤️🤍❤️ fun, head down to Mytholmroyd Community Centre (with the right kit to keep you safe and somewhat dry! 🌦) ready to set off at 6.45pm 🙌 (5.45pm for Juniors who will be gearing up to go from 5.30pm) 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💃🕺🎯🎉

Did you know every year any Suplus we make as a club (mostly from our races) goes straight back into our local community making things like this possible 🎯

🎯🎯It's F-F-F-Friday!! Which means it's time to check out our brand new press release now LIVE and this week our juniors are taking centre stage! 🎯🎯

Featuring:

🤍❤️🤍CVFR youngsters competing at the FRA Junior Champs race at Ogden Water. Hosted by our friends , our superstars of the future had some awesome results across all age categories and even had time for a cheeky mid race high five! 🙌🏼❤️🤍❤️

⛰️ George Kettlwell off on a lone adventure to compete in the Short Duddon Valley Fell. A 9.5 mile, 3000 foot classic of a Lakeland race with a tricky final descent, coming in a very respectable 6th place 💪

🎯🎯Our ultra running queen 👑 pairing up with Stuart Russell in the Welsh 1000s Peak fell race. A 20 mile, 9000 foot beast of a race which they completed in 7 hours, 18 minutes in toasty conditions! ☀️🥵☀️

After a balmy week of 🔥 its back to normal as schools across the valley return from their break today...but not all doom and gloom for the youngsters - as the good news is it also means a return of 🇦🇹 Juniors ❤️🤍❤️🤍. And there's just 7 more weeks to join in the fun before we break for summer 🥳🎉

If you haven't heard about us yet where have you been? Things are buzzing down in HX7- with almost 50 Junior members and regularly over 20 🇦🇹 youngsters turning up to race for us we're firmly established as THE No1 junior club in Calderdale for off road running fun 🥳🎉

So much so that we were featured in the latest edition of the Fellrunner last month 👀 (take a look at 📸2, 3 & 4 to see how much fun our Youngsters enjoy running together 🥳🎉❤️🤍❤️🤍🙌)

But despite the  rapid explosion in popularity over the last 18 months, we've still got plenty of coaches to cope 😅 - which means unlike other running clubs around we have more places available to burn off your not so little 'uns excess energy!!  🎯🙌

What's more we now offer a second hilly speed session on a Thursday at Savile Park for those 9 and over who want to progress with tailored training tips 🎯 (and access to the most qualified coach in the area who runs our adult sessions 🤓)

The 2026 World Mountain Running Association International U18 Mountain Running Cup will take place on 21 June in Gagliano del Capo. Trial races were held in Sedbergh, Cumbria at the Fell Runners' Association Junior Championships to select a strong England team.

The event is hosted by a small town in the province of Lecce in southern Italy, located at the southern end of the Salento peninsula. England have a strong tradition in this event which is an excellent opportunity to race against some of the best age group mountain runners in the world and experience overseas competition in a stunning and testing location.
Over the years, numerous athletes who first appeared at the U18 Cup have gone on to become World Cup winners, World Championship medallists and leading figures in mountain and trail running, making the competition a true gateway to the sport’s highest levels.

It's F-F-Ffriday. It's bank holiday and it's bloomin boiling 🔥 And if last weekends sporting excitement wasn't enough, this morning you were treated to the England squad reveal and this weekend you've got all the emotion of the Premier league relegation battle & the Play off deciders to go through 🔭👀🫣😅 (we can confirm non of our members were involved in any other Calderdale training sessions pre Calderdale Way Relay 😬🤪😇)

Anyway, back to point...what more can you ask for? Our weekly Press Report- that's what. Yes, its that time of the week again- its LIVE - and its a bumper CDWR special 🇦🇹❤️🤍❤️🤍🇦🇹🥳🎉

Featuring:
🎯 A blow by blow, leg by leg, bird by bird account of the largest off road Relays in the country that the mighty 🇦🇹's have now won 🏆 for the 8th time 🥇 with our women's & Open Vet's teams both 🥈and a whole lot of 🤍❤️🤍❤️ on display throughout the day 🕺💃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🇦🇹🥳

🎯 All the action from the 6 🇦🇹's involved in the 37m, 11k ft Old County Tops race where (Old) King Karlos set out to write yet more history last Saturday and break yet more records 💪💥 whilst other Valley folk proved their strength by simply completing this race up Helvellyn, Scafell Pike & Coniston old man ⛰️⛰️⛰️🙌👌

🎯 19 of our Juniors (or should that be fledgings going off the bird theme🤔) swoop down on Esk Valley in the North York Moors and Chop (Gate) the Junior English champs down to size with 3 boys in the U10s and U12s top 10, one boy in the U14s top 10, and a top-10 U20 girls’ placings. And just like the adults they brought the unique 🇦🇹 cameraderie to the fells ❤️🤍❤️🤍🕺💃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🥳🎉🙌
