A huge thank you to the incredible team at Tesco Bradford Great Horton Community, and especially Saim, whose support and generosity have helped make a real difference to our community.

Thanks to donations like these, Halifax Community Fridge is able to support over 100 families every single day.

We are proud to be:
✅ Open 7 days a week
✅ Open 365 days a year
✅ Serving our community continuously since August 2020 - without closing for a single day.

This is only possible because of the kindness of local businesses, volunteers and supporters who believe that no good food should go to waste and that everyone deserves access to it.

Fridges of Mercy - The Mosque Community Fridge Network

Across the U.K., communities are opening their hearts - and their fridges - to make sure no one is left behind. Supported by local Mosques and powered by volunteers, each fridge offers free food to anyone who needs it. No barriers. No judgement. No questions asked.

This initiative is inspired by timeless guidance: “O Mankind, spread peace and feed people. These words from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) reflect a universal truth - kindness has no borders.

Across the U.K., this growing network is stopping tonnes of food from going to waste and helping thousands of families avoid going to bed hungry. Every fridge is a step towards a more compassionate, more connected society.
