| We're investigating after jewellery was taken during a robbery in Halesowen.

An intruder got into an address in Huntingtree Road at just before 1.50pm on 7 May.

A man demanded jewellery and an occupier sustained a hand injury while trying to stop the thief fleeing.

We understand the offender then went down Longmoor Road, through an alleyway towards Briery Road and onto the park land which comes out on Meadowbrook Road, during his escape.

We've released these images of a man we want to speak to as part of our ongoing enquiries.

We appreciate this isn't the clearest image, but we believe there will be people who can assist our investigation.

We're particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage, particularly from the areas of Meadowbrook Road, Brackenfield Road, Thornhill Road, Bassnage Road, Dunstall Road, Yew Tree Road, High Farm Road and Albrighton Road.

The more information we receive, the more chance we have on identifying and locating the man responsible.

Well it appears the residents of Dudley Borough, made there voices heard yesterday. Besides showing the discontent with the UK Government, the local issues of recent times seem to have prompted a high turn out. Bin collections, Pot holes & Grit Bins seem to have bought things to a head. Time will tell if local government changes will have the desired effect. 🤔

The National Emergency Briefing project has introduced The People’s Emergency Briefing, a new film aimed at enhancing public awareness of climate and environmental risks. The film had its national release on April 7, 2026, and a series of community-led screenings is scheduled throughout the year, as shown on an interactive screening map. Produced by the National Emergency Briefing team with technical support from Collective Digital, the project highlights how local groups across the UK are organising in-person events to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and encourage collective engagement with resilience challenges.

There are a number of showings of this film locally. Bewdley & Bromsgrove are the closest & are in June. This is certainly worth seeing from a prepared point of view & is hosted by some of the UK's most knowledgeable science & environmental leaders.

| We’ve arrested six people on suspicion of drug offences in Sandwell as we continue our work to tackle drug dealing across the West Midlands.

Yesterday (24 April), as part of our response to information received about drug dealing in shops, we carried out warrants alongside Trading Standards colleagues at two shops and a flat on Cradley High Street.

Following the warrants, two men aged 42 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs, while a woman aged 56 was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs.

As part of the same investigation, three men aged 51, 21, and 19, were arrested in Oldbury earlier in the day on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

The six all remain in police custody today.

Several items were seized as part of the investigation, including suspected drugs and paraphernalia, suspected counterfeit ci******es, suspected counterfeit cash, and a number of electronic items including phones and laptops.

Our enquiries into this are continuing as we act swiftly against drug dealing through shops and reassure our communities in Dudley, Sandwell, and across the wider region, that we won’t tolerate illegal activities.

Drugs not only ruin lives but fuel further crime.

We carry out both visible enforcement, and activities which are not always visible to the public, to disrupt and combat the scourge of drugs.

This includes increased patrols in areas where intelligence suggests there may be criminal activity so we can seek to identify, arrest and prosecute those involved.

We're also often involved in warrants alongside Trading Standards, HMRC and others, in response to information we receive about illegal drug sales, anti-social behaviour, and crime and disorder.

If there's evidence of criminal activity, or links to organised crime, then we will always look to secure charges and seek closure orders on premises.

We would urge anyone with information to contact us and our partner agencies, as the more evidence and intelligence we receive means we all have a better opportunity of combating any illegal activities.

You can do this via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101.
