I have just received the sad news that our lovely Ron has passed away. I know that many of you knew him from our time in Vega Close and our early days off the high street.
If anyone would like to pay their respects his funeral is at 1.30 on 17th April at St Wilfreds Catholic Church

There have been a lot of comments on facebook about the decision we have taken to close in march.
When I started out 5 years ago I vowed to always run it as a proper community fridge. That is entirely by volunteers, open to all, non judgemental, inclusive and donation only. We have done that and I am so proud of us as a team.
We, as a community, have saved tonnes of waste food from being thrown away.
Please respect our decision. If anyone is interested in knowing how we run our set up and see the amount of work that goes into it, with a view to running one elsewhere please do contact us or pop in.
