It's fantastic to have this support from Hailsham Town Council. We are very thankful and pleased that they see the value in music projects for the community.

The weather was not summery at all on Saturday but it didn't matter to us! We had a great time, in the best place to be, at Southwark Cathedral, London. We were the day's resident choir to sing at the Choral Evensong. Such a beautiful space to sing in, it felt really special! Also a bite to eat nearby was a real treat.

It's been just over a week since our Spring concert with ES Chorus and Noteworthy Voices. We have more photos and a wonderful review from Carole Mounter. Here is an extract (You can read the full review on the Eastbourne Symphony orchestra website).

"From the opening strains, played expertly by the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra, the blending of the choirs of Hailsham Choral, Eastbourne Symphony Chorus and Noteworthy Voices proved more than capable of producing a fine offering of this work, which was fully appreciated by the large audience, who filled the church to full capacity.

The performance of The Dream of Gerontius was truly outstanding, dynamics fully observed by all participants, conveying a Soul's journey to a thrilled audience. Just lovely."

We are so thrilled that the performance went so well and to have had a packed house. It is so wonderful to have these opportunities to sing with other choirs for these bigger works and to have the magic of Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra to accompany us!

Our concert was a great success yesterday evening! We sang to a packed house and the atmosphere was very special.

Thank you so much if you were there in the audience and thanks so much to everyone who made it possible both on the stage and behind the scenes.

It's concert day! We can't wait to welcome you at St Saviour's Church Eastbourne for our Spring concert this evening.

We will be singing with ES Chorus and Noteworthy voices to present Elgar's Dream of Gerontius. The fantastic Eastbourne Symphony orchestra are joining us too. It will be an inspiring treat, not to be missed at the end of a sunny weekend.

Rebecca Hughes the mezzo-soprano soloist for our concert on Sunday is thrilled to be singing the part of the Angel in The Dream of Gerontius.

She has a wide variety of experience in Opera and Oratorio but is especially looking forward to Sunday as this will be the first time she will be singing the part of the Angel.
