1st Wrekin - Hadley - Scout Group are truly inclusive and as we welcome new members, we'll take a look at why they feel so welcome in our pack.

This post is

Girls and women have been in Scouts since the beginning.
In 1909, there were around 6,000 girls in Scouts across the UK, and we are now the largest mixed-gender youth organisation in the UK.

Feedback from mum's of girls who've recently joined

For some of our long term followers, we said goodbye to Mick Gatford today.

Mick was heavily involved in the local scouting movement for many many years, and was responsible for resurrecting a number of local scout groups including Oakengates and Hadley.

What is now 1st Wrekin (Hadley) Scout Group is his legacy.
