Whether it is £5, £20 or a larger gift, your support helps PFSS continue providing temporary care for pets across Scotland when their owners are facing difficult circumstances.

Donations help towards the practical costs of caring for pets, including food, veterinary treatment, transport and essential supplies.

There is no donation too small. Every contribution helps us reach more pets and support more owners when they need us most.

Temporary pet care can make a practical difference at a time when everything else feels complicated.

For someone going into hospital, entering respite care, leaving an unsafe situation, or suddenly becoming homeless, finding somewhere suitable for their pet can be a huge challenge.

PFSS helps by arranging temporary foster care, giving owners one less problem to solve while they deal with everything else.

It is a simple idea, but it can make an enormous difference. 💙

When someone has to leave their home unexpectedly, there can be dozens of things to think about. Where will they stay? What happens next? Who can help?

For a pet owner, there is often another question at the front of their mind: What happens to my pet?

PFSS exists to help answer that question. By providing temporary foster care, we can take one worry away and give owners the time and space they need to deal with what is happening. 💙

For a person in hospital, someone leaving an unsafe home, or a family suddenly facing homelessness, knowing their pet is being cared for can provide a huge sense of relief. 💙

PFSS provides that support through temporary foster care, helping pets through the difficult period until their owners are able to care for them again.

Because supporting people also means understanding what they care about.

The companionship. The routine. Having someone waiting for you at home.

That is why being separated from a pet can make an already difficult situation even harder.

Did you know PFSS has been helping pets and their owners since 1985? 💙

The idea began after a television programme about the benefits of pets for older people prompted letters from viewers who were worried about what would happen to their animals if they became too unwell to care for them.

What started as a volunteer service supporting older pet owners has grown into a nationwide network helping people facing illness, homelessness and domestic abuse.

More than 40 years later, the need is still here. And so is the kindness that makes PFSS possible. 🐾
